Match Preview 10th Sec : VS Vissel Kobe at JFE Stadium on October 18

This is Kawasaki Steel Derby. It is the nickname for matches between Vissel Kobe and Fagiano Okayama.Both clubs originated from the Kawasaki Steel Mizushima works team, so it is known as a heartfelt derby between  brother clubs.

In order to catch up with the top group of the league, the club are expected to obtain points. 

Match Review 9th Sec : VS Avispa Fukuoka at Best Denki Stadium on October 10

This sec, the head coach, Kiyama placed Kawano, Kamiya and Leo Gaucho in the starting line-up. They were expected to create the momentum. While, the former Fagiano attacker Popo started the game.


After the kickoff, Okayama struggled to take control of the game. In the 9th minute, the rival made an opening goal. Later, the visitors had difficulty to create chances. In the 13th minute, Kawano took the target, but it was denied by the opponent. In the 30th minute, Na Sang ho missed the chance for a goal. In the 35th minute, Moser showed a fine saving. Two minutes later, he made another amazing saving. 


Esaka and Miyamoto came in. In the 48th minute, a free kick was given to Okayama. Yamane tried to hit the target. In the 51st minute, Oberdan almost found the net. In the 55th minute, Moser made a superb saving. In the 61st minute, Shirai equalized the match. In the 72th minute, Omori's attempt was off target. In the 76th minute, the rival made a clincher. In the 81sh minute, a new signing, Sato came off the bench to change the game. However, the club were not able to obtain a point.

On October 7th, Okayama visited Chiba to face the division 1 rival, JEF United Chiba. This September, the club defeated the rival at Fukuda Denshi Arena for the first time in the club's history. At this Round 3, that was expected to be reproduced.


After the kickoff, the club aggressively kept attacking forward. However, they couldn't find the net even through they created several chances. After the break, the head coach, Kiyama sent fresh players such as Shirai, Na Sang-ho and Oberdan. In the 64th minute, Matsumoto smash the net with his superb strike. Later, the red-uniformed men successfully kept a clean sheet, securing their ticket to the next round.

The rival club target to survive in the division 1 club therefore they signed with talented players.


Former Brazilian forward, Popo plays for Fukuoka. He has been ever-present this so far. Needless to say, he should be the one to watch out for. 

U-21 J League 4th Sec VS Nagoya Grampus on October 4

This sec, young Okayama welcomed Grampus in Soja city, Okayama prefecture. An experienced goal keeper, Hamada was listed in the starting line-up. 


Ten minutes after the kickoff, young attacker, Suemune opened the score with his superb strike. Five minutes later, the team added a second with Grampus's own goal. In the 22nd minute, the rival  scored a goal. After the break, Okayama struggled to take control. In the 52nd minute, the game was equalized. Later, the red uniformed men were unable to make a clincher. The game ended in a tie.

J League Cup 26 - 27: Dramatic victory

On September 29th, the club visited Sapporo to face the division 2 club, Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo. This match, Tabei started the game. The product of the club's academy, Senda was on the bench. 


In the 11th minute, Moser showed a superb saving. In the 17th minute, Kamiya almost found the net. In the 36th minute, Kawano opened the score with his brilliant opener, assisted by Na Sang-ho. Two minutes later, Tabei was replaced by Takeuchi. After the break, in the 58th minute, the game was equalized. Afterwards, the club aggressively kept attacking forward, but struggled to make a clinch. During the added time, Suzuki decided the game with his fantastic strike, defeating the rival. 

U-21 J League 3rd Sec VS Vissel Kobe on September 20

This is the second match for U-21 team since they had  no match at 2nd sec. This sec, several experienced players such as Matsumoto, Tagami, Tabei and Tagami. They were expected to improve the team's performance.


During the first half, both clubs scored two goals. An experienced players, Matsumoto and Tagami found the net respectively while after the break, Okayama struggled to take control of the game. The opponent added two goals. As a result, the red-uniformed men were unable to obtain points.
