In the 54th minute, Lucas and Kamiya came off the bench to change the game. However, the game remained the same. In the 73th minute, the opponent added a second. During the added time, Esaka almost smash the net.


In order to secure their survival in the top league as early as possible, Kiyama's men were expected to obtain points.

This is the second CHUGOKU DERBY. This sec, the head coach, Kiyama placed the same starting line-up as the last sec. Former Sanfrecce keeper, Kawanami was on the reserve list.



After the kickoff, Okayama struggled to take control of the game. In the 7th minute, corner was given to the home club, but it was blocked by the opponent's keeper. Two minutes later, Fujita showed a nice blocking. In the 18th minute, Brodersen made a fine saving. In the 23rd minute, Sato missed the chance to open the score. In the 31st minute, Esaka failed to take a lead since his attempt was off target. In the 42th minute, Esaka almost found the net with his header. The first half ended in a scoreless tie.


Five minutes after the break, Brodersen made a fine saving. In the 54th minute, Popo and Motoyama came off the bench to change the game. In the 58th minute, Tagami almost opened the score. Two minutes later, Brodersen showed another great saving. In the 86th minute, head coach, Kiyama sent Takeuchi and Sueyoshi onto the pitch. In the 88th minute,Tatsuta's strike was off target. During the added time, the red-uniformed men conceded a clincher.

On April 12th, the first Chugoku Region Derby took place in Hiroshima. After the kickoff, the visitors struggled to have a ball possession. In the 5th minute, Esaka tried to score an opener, crossed by Lucas. In the 40th minute, Brodersen showed a fine saving. In the 58th minute, Sato smash the net with his stunning strike. Afterwards, the red-uniformed men made efforts to keep a clean sheet and obtained three points.
 

Former Fagiano attacker, Semba has not appeared in the league campaign this season yet however he knows well about Okayama so that he seems highly motivated to play for this derby match.

Match Review 22nd Sec : VS Kashima Antlers at Kashima Stadium on June 28

This sec, Yanagi was back in the starting line-up. He was expected to make lots of crosses. Ichimi and Iwabuchi were on the reserve list. They were expected to change the game.


After the kickoff, the visitors struggled to have more ball possession. In the 10th minute, Brodersen showed a great saving. In the 18th minute, Okayama conceded an opening goal. In the 30th minute, a corner was given to Kiyama's men and Lucas's attempt was off target, crossed by Kamiya. Right after that, his another strike was denied by Kashima's keeper.


Five minutes after the break, Esaka equalized the game with his super volley, assisted by Lucas. In the 59th minute, Kamiya made a clincher with his amazing strike, assisted by Esaka. Four minutes later, Lucas missed the chance for a third. In the 64th minute, Motoyama and Iwabuchi came off the bench to secure their victory. In the 83th minute, Tagami's attempt was off target. Afterwards, the red-uniformed defenders made efforts and defeated the first-place rival club.
