2023:Chugoku Regional League is expected to be tough

One of the title favorites, Fukuyama City FC, the 2022 League champion. The outfit signs with former Fagiano winger, Mimura. He is expected to play as chance maker.  


Another title favorite is Baleine Shimonoseki. The club aim for J League and possibly might stop Fukuyama.

The club made a deal with Igawa on a loan with Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo. He is the product of Sapporo's academy. The 22 year old midfielder is expected to improve himself in Okayama.

Young centre back, Abe leaves the club for the loan-deal for Blaublitz Akita. He is expected to have more to play to improve himself.


The club signs with young midfielder, Tabei on a loan from newly-promoted club, Yokohama FC. He is expected to cover up for Okayama's legend, Kiyama.

The club's transfer information #5 / 2022

Young forward, Sakuragawa joins Okayama on a loan from the division 2 club, JEF Chiba. He is the product of Chiba's academy. He is expected to play as target man.

Side back, Naruse plays for Montedio Yamagata. He came to Okayama in 2022 and made an established presence. 

The product of Okayama's academy, Yamada is back from Kochi United in JFL. He scored one goal in 26 appearances in JFL in 2022

Young midfielder, Hikida plays for the division 3 club, Ehime FC on a loan. In 2022, he couldn't play a lot for Okayama. He is expected to improve himself in Ehime.

Young forward, Fukumoto is back from FC Osaka in JFL. He has three appearances in JFL in 2022.  

The club sign with defender, Takagi from the newly promoted team, Yokohama FC. He is expected to cover up for Tokumoto. 

The club's transfer information #3 / 2022

An experienced side back, Tokumoto signs with the division 1 club, FC Tokyo. He played an important role in Okayama for three years. His departure will be missed. 

The club make a deal with Suzuki from the division 2 club, Mito Hollyhock. This midfielder had 36 appearances as the first-choice. He is expected to enhance the club's strength. 

Okayama sign with a young goal keeper, Yamada on a loan from the division 1 club, Kashima Antlers. He is expected to compete for the first-choice.  

2022:Four clubs in Chugoku region failed to promote for J2

In 2022, Tottori were not able to compete for the promotion. During the season, the head coach, KIM Jong-Song made efforts, however, the club finished in the 12th place, which was the same as the 2021 season.


Imabari were constantly on the promotion race, ending up in the 5th position. Shimoguchi on a loan from Okayama made 24 appearances. Next year, the club are expected to compete for top two.


One of the promotion favorites, Ehime struggled in a mid table. They finished in the 7th place and failed to go back to the division2.

Kamatamare Sanuki finished in the 17th position. In the next season, there will be relegation from the division 3 therefore, the club are required to sign with several talents to secure their survival in the league.

2022:Shimane and Kochi had a hopeful season in JFL

Kagura Shimane, aiming for J League, ended up in the 12th place of the league, which was worse than last year, the 5th position. Next year, they are expected to compete for the top four, the promotion to J League division 3.


Another Chogoku region club, Kochi United finished in the 11th place of 16 clubs, which was better than the last year, 13th place. Throughout the season, they stayed close to the mid table, avoiding the relegation race.


In the new term, it is expected that there will be a tight race for the promotion to J League division 3 since there will be more clubs aiming for the upper league.
