Match Review 3rd Sec : VS CEREZO Osaka at City Light Stadium on March 21

Okayama 1 Cerezo Osaka 1

15,820 people gathered at City Light Stadium for the remarkable match. Fagiano had never won over the opponent in the league. The home team was beaten by Cerezo at training match early this year.

The starting line-up was the same as last game as 2nd Sec. On the reserve list, there are a fast striker, Mimura and young forward player, Fijioka for the first time this season. In the visitor's team, former Japan national team player, Tamada and world-class striker, Forlan were listed as squads.

During the first half, Cerezo had control of the game with lots of opportunities, however, as time went on, Okayama made increasingly lots of counter attacks. The game remained scoreless.

After the interval, in the 48th minutes, Brazilian young striker, Pavlo scored an excellent volley, assisted by Forlan. In the 29th minutes, Ito took a nice free kick directly, but Osaka was saved by Korean national team goal keeper, Kim jin-hyeon. In the 81th minutes, Okayama's forward, Oshitani was fouled by Yamaguchi and got a penalty kick. The ace player finally scored an equalizer. The match ended in a tie, 1 to 1. As a result, Fagiano goes up to the top after the opening three games.
