One minute after the kickoff, Lucas's cross was blocked by the opponent. Later, the visitors struggled to attack forward. In the 15th minute, Okayama conceded an opener. In the 20th minute, Tagami showed a nice blocking, however, right after that, Kyoto doubled their lead. In the 26th minute, Yanagi made a good blocking. In the 30th minute, the rival added a third. Four minutes after the kickoff, Miyamoto almost smash the net. In the 12th minute, he was not able to grasp another chance. In the 19th minute, Sato entered Shonan's box and tried to open score, but his attempt was denied by the former Okayama keeper, Popp William. In the 20th minute, Miyamoto's strike was blocked by Popp again. In the 22nd minute, Ichimi missed the chance for an opener. Before the break, his another attempt was ballooned over the bar. The first half ended in a scoreless tie.


Iwabuchi was replaced by Lucas. In the 54th minute, Brodersen showed a fine saving. In the 50th minute, Kamiya and Yanagi came off the bench. Later, Kimura was sent onto the pitch to change the game. In the 21th minute, Sato almost added a second. In the 32nd minute, Tatsuta was replaced by Matsumoto due his injury. In the 33rd minute, Esaka's strike hit the bar. In the 39th minute, Ichimi's attempt was off target.
