Tight race in Japan Football League

The league was literally unpredictble. One of the title hopefuls, Azul Claro Numazu, J League 100 Year Plan holder, made a strong showing even though the foolball's legend, Masashi NAKAYAMA did not appear during the season. The club finished in the third place of the league and they were successfully qualified for J league, division 3.

Other clubs aiming for J league such as Nara club and Vanraure Hachinohe were not able to achieve their goal. Hachinohe had a tough season, ending in 7th place last season. Last year, the construction of their new home stadium was completed so that they were highly expected to be qualified for the division 3.

Nara club struggled near the bottom last year. During this term, the team revealed the lack of ability to score goals even though Nara acquired some talented players incluing a veteran defender, Takuya Yamada. Their strength are needed to be more reinforced for the next season.

Honda FC, owned by Honda Motor Co, won the championship of JFL. As of now, this powerful club have no intention to aim for J league so that the they play like a gatekeeper for the other clubs, aiming for J league.

Fagiano Okayama Next finished at the bottom of the league. They had a disappointing season in their last year. The team are expected to come back and join J league division 3 in the near future.
