Emperor's cup 2018:The club met FC Machida Zelvia at the second round

The long-awaited Emperor's cup finally began. It is known that the cup winner is qualified to AFC Champions League. Since Fagiano belong to the division 2 now, this is an only chance for the club to obtain the ticket to the composition.


This year, Okayama faced FC Machida Zelvia on June 6th at City Light Stadium. On May 27, Okayama defeated Machida at Machida Athletic Stadium in the division 2 league.

On June 6, Okayama's head coach, Nagasawa placed some fresh men in the starting line-up. During the match, the red-uniformed men aggressively kept attacking. However, they couldn't score to clinch the game. Right before the end of the match, Okayama conceded a clincher. As a result, they were eliminated from the Emperor's cup.
