Before 2018 season, the club made a deal with several attacking players. However, their total score is 39 goals, which is less than the last year, 44 goals. The club revealed the lack of ability to win.
Okayama's top scorer is a young attacker, Nakama. He constanly showed well-performances and scored eight goals. Needless to say, he was the key player in attacking. Therefore, the club were expected to keep him for the next year.
Other attackers such as Ito, Akamine and Lee Yong-Jae were not able to play constantly becasue of injuries or their poor conditin. A target man, Ricardo Santos betrayed the expectations of the club. His season ended with no goals.
In order to promote to the division 1 next year, their attacking strength needs to be more improved. The club are expected to aquire talented chance-maker.
