Four minutes after the kickoff, Kanayama made a fine saving. In the 7th minute, Yamamoto tried to open the score with his header. In the 10th minute, Kanayama showed anther excellent saving. Afterwards, the home club struggled to possess a ball. In the 17th minute, Arima's men conceded an opener. In the 27th minute, Kawamoto stroke a fantastic equalizer. Six minutes later, he almost added a second. In the 42rd minute, he was not able to grasp another chance with his header. Before the interval, Hikida's attempt was ballooned over the bar.


After the break, the red-uniformed men aggressively kept attacking forward. However, they struggled to dominate the game. In the 60th minute, a free kick was given to Okayama. Uejo's attempt was denied by Machida's keeper. In the 68th minute, Yamamoto was replaced by Miyazaki to change the game. In the 73th minute, Kawamoto missed the chance for a clincher. In the 86th minute, Head coach, Arima sent  Kiyama,  Shimoguchi and Yamada onto the pitch. In the 89th minute, Okayama conceded a clincher.
