After the kickoff, Okayama struggled to adjust the opponent's game plan. In the 13th minute, the home club conceded an opening goal. In the 29th minute, Han approached the rival's box and tried to make a strike. In the 36th minute, Hotta showed a fine saving. Right after that, he made anther amazing saving. In the 41th minute, Tiago's attempt was off target.


After the break, Tiago almost equalized the game, however, five minutes later, Kumamoto added a second. In the 72nd minute, head coach, Kiyama sent three fresh men, Kawai, Duke and Naruse onto the pitch to change the game. In the 74th minute, Tanaka's header was saved by Kumamoto's keeper.
