This rival club also target the ticket for Asian Champion League. This powerful club are one of the title favorites and the match is expected to be very tough.


Former Marinos winger, Kato must be highly motivated to face his former club. The rival club are not in the shape so far this season. Okayama are required to defeat this powerful club.

J League Cup 2025: Giant-killing happened

On March 20th, the club visited Kokura to face the division 3 club, Giravanz Kitakyushu. In the opponent, two former Fagiano men, Kiyama and Taniguchi started the game. On the other hands, some fresh players were  listed on the starting line-up. An experienced centre back, Yanagi was one of these. The red-uniformed men were expected to keep a clean sheet.

As a result, the club's journey in this composition ended in the first round.

J League Cup 2025: The journey to the top

This year, the club take part in J League Cup as the division 1 club. In Round 1 on March 20th, the club face the division 3 club, Giravanz Kitakyushu that some former Fagiano players belong to.

Shimizu S-Pulse won the championship of the division 2　League and secured the promotion. This year, they target　to make a survival in the upper league firstly as well as　Okayama.

This is the first match in the division 1 in the club history. The name of the stadium has been changed to JFE stadium. The day would remain forever in the club's history.


Kiyama's men host Kyoto Sanga. Former Fagiano playmaker, Takeda can be one of the key players. He can trigger his club's attacking so that the red-uniformed men are required to mark him with an extra care.

2025:It is just unpredictable

There are already 20 clubs in J League division 3, therefore, it is now difficult to get the ticket for the promotion. It is because there will be the playoffs between the second-placed club of JFL and the 19th club of the division 3.


Honda FC, owned by Honda Motor Co, the champion of JFL in 2023 were not able to stop other powerful clubs aiming for J League division 3. They target the champion this year.


Veertien Mie finished in the 5th place last year and target to compete for the top two of the league this year. They can be the one of promotion favorites since they sign with talented players.

2025:Three clubs in Chushikoku region competing in the league

Last year, Kamatamare Sanuki barely made a survival in the league. This year, they sign with several talented players so that they are expected to improve their performance.


Gainare Tottori lost the ticket for the playoffs, ending in the 13th place. This year, the club target to finish within the 6th position.


Newly-promoted club, Kochi United can be the dark horse in the league. The club will be tested in the division 3 League.

2025: Fukuyama City FC aim for JFL

Needless to say, Fukuyama City FC,the 2022, 2023 and 2024 League champion is the title favorite. The club sign with several talented players for the promotion this year.


Another title favorite is Baleine Shimonoseki. The club also aim for J League and are expected to stop Fukuyama.

The club's transfer information #6 / 2024

The club sign with mid-fielder, Sato on a loan from one of the biggest clubs, FC Tokyo. He has potential to be able to play as a first-choice.


An experienced defender, Kato joins the club from one of the biggest club, Yokohama F Marinos. He has been selected for an international team before.


Hayakawa comes back to his club, Urawa Reds. He scored two goals in 15 appearance last year. He was not able to make an established presence in the team.

Brown joins the club from Tokushima Vortis. This forward can play as a target man and is expected to improve the offensive strength.


The club sign with defender, Kudo on a loan from one of the biggest clubs, Urawa Reds. He is expected to reinforce the club's defense.

An experienced defender, Tatsuta joins the club. He played for the division 1 club, Kashiwa Reysol. He is the product of Shimizu S-Pulse academy.


Veteran sided back, Kawano sign with SC Sagamihara in the division 3. He played for Kagoshima United in the division 3 on a loan in 2024.

2024:The long-waited moment for Kochi

Kochi United fnally secured their promotion for J League division 3, finishing at the 2nd position of JFL and defeating the 19th club of the division 3, YS Yokohama. This had been long-waited moment for Kochi.


Another promotion club are Tochigi City FC. They showed an unstoppable run at the second half of the league campaign so that they won the championship of the league.


The other clubs aiming for J League, Hirakata, Shiga and Mie could not reach the top two. They are expected to make a comeback next year.
