This sec, veteran players, Tanaka and Saito were back as a starter. Another veteran forward, Akamine missed the match due to his leg injury. 

 

Five minutes after the kickoff, Sekido made an attempt, but it was blocked by Omiya's defender. Seven minutes later, the home club conceded an opener.  In the 17th minute, Sekido was not able to grasp another chance. In the 19th minute, Popp William showed an amazing saving. In the 34th minute, Mimura almost found the net. 

 

Four minutes after the kickoff, Saito failed to hit the target. In the 59th minute, Shirai stroke an equalizer with his fantastic mid-range shot. Three minutes later, a substitute, Yamamoto added a second with his superb strike. In the 64th minute, Shirai scored an excellent clincher. In the 73rd minute, Omiya added a second. In the 84th minute, young players, Noguchi and Matsuki came off the bench. As a result, the red-uniformed men successfully defeated the former division 1 club for the first time in the club's history.
