This sec, the starting line-up was the same as the last sec. Brazilian striker, Ricardo Santos and a rookie forward, Fukumoto were listed on the reserve list. They were expected to play as a chance-taker.


During the first half, Okayama struggled to possess a ball. Two minutes after the kickoff, an experienced playmaker, Ueda's corner was blocked by Chiba's goal keeper, Sato. In the 8th minute, a captain, Kiyama showed an excellent blocking. In the 27th minute, an attacker, Saito failed to make an attempt on target, provided by his fellow attacker, Nakama. A young wingger, Takeda struggled to stop Chiba's attacker, Funayama. In the 42nd minute, Ueda tried to smash the net. The first half endedin a scoreless tie.


After the interval, the game almost remained the same as the first half. In the 56th minute, the red-uniformed men conceded an opening goal. Right after that former JEF attacker, Ito replaced Saito, however, the rival continued to dominate the game. In the 68th minute, shockingly, a centre back, Hamada was sent off. Later,
Ricardo Santos and an experienced playmaker, Otake came off the bench. In the 85th minute, Santos missed the chance for an equalizer. Afterwards, Nagasawa's men were not able to finish the game in a draw.
