This sec, a legend, Kaji was back as a starter. A young attacker, Toyokawa was listed in the starting line-up. He was expected to play as a chance-taker. An ace striker, Oshitani stood by as a substitute. He was anticipated to finalize the game.


Five minutes after the kickoff, Brazilian midfield player, Souza had an accident and he was replaced by Ogihara. Eight minutes later, Toyokawa smashed an excellent opener, making a good start. In 16th minute, Sekido provided a good cross, but it was blocked by the opponent's defender. In 31st minute, Cerezo's attacker, Kiyohara equalized the game, bringing forces to Osaka. Right before the break, Toyokawa was not able to grasp the chance, provided by Akamine.


After the break, in 54th minute, Akamine received a ball in the box, but his shot was misfired. Six minutes later, Oshitani was sent onto the pitch. While, in 62th minute, Cerezo's attacker, Sekiguchi came in. One minute later, Osaka's young mid fielder, Yamamura found the net, assisted by Sekiguchi. In 70th minute, Ito failed to equalize the match. Two minutes later, Nakabayashi showed a brilliant saving, stopping Kakitani's shot. In 80th minute, Fujimoto and Tanaka were placed on the pitch, however, red-uniformed club were not able to make an equalizer.
