Match Preview 4th Sec : VS JEF United Chiba at Fukuda Denshi Arena on March 29

JEF is the former division 1 team and also one of the top choices for the promotion to the division 1. Chiba has played the playoffs for the last three straight years, but lost and failed to be promoted.

Chiba's head coach is Sekizuka, who led the under 23 national team at the London Olympic. He is experienced and certainly tactician. There are lots of remarkable players such as an ace striker, Morimoto who has played in Italy for several years. Midfielder, Mizuno, who has played for Scotish team, Celtic F.C. .

At the last sec, Chiba was held to a 1 - 1 draw by Tochigi. Sekizuka's team still stays without loss after opening three games.

Last season, Okayama was beaten at Fukuda arena and won at home stadium. For Fagiano, it seems there will be chance if they are able to shut Morimoto.

Match Review 3rd Sec : VS CEREZO Osaka at City Light Stadium on March 21

Okayama 1 Cerezo Osaka 1

15,820 people gathered at City Light Stadium for the remarkable match. Fagiano had never won over the opponent in the league. The home team was beaten by Cerezo at training match early this year.

The starting line-up was the same as last game as 2nd Sec. On the reserve list, there are a fast striker, Mimura and young forward player, Fijioka for the first time this season. In the visitor's team, former Japan national team player, Tamada and world-class striker, Forlan were listed as squads.

During the first half, Cerezo had control of the game with lots of opportunities, however, as time went on, Okayama made increasingly lots of counter attacks. The game remained scoreless.

After the interval, in the 48th minutes, Brazilian young striker, Pavlo scored an excellent volley, assisted by Forlan. In the 29th minutes, Ito took a nice free kick directly, but Osaka was saved by Korean national team goal keeper, Kim jin-hyeon. Match Preview 3nd Sec : VS CEREZO Osaka at City Light Stadium on March 21

Needless to say, Cerezo is one of the top choices for the championship in the league.  Last season, contrary to expectations, the team was demoted to the division 2.

This season, Cerezo maintained most of their skillful players including former Uruguay national team member, Diego Forlan, former Japan national team member, Yamaguchi,  Korean goal keeper, Kim jin-hyeon etc. And also, former Nagoya striker, Tamada and Urawa's midfielder, Sekiguchi signed an agreement this year.

At the last sec, Osaka defeated former top league team, Omiya with their three goals including Tamada's excellent two goals. Obviously the team is in a good shape.

Fagiano currently stays at the 2nd position of the division 2 after the opening two games, however, Cerezo is in a higher rank in terms of division 1 experiences and strengths.

It seems that Okayama is going to have a challenging game with less opportunities, therefore, goalkeeper Nakabayashi, centre back, Iwamasa and so on are likely to strengthen the defence from Cerezo attackers and wait for chances on counter attacks.

Match Review 2nd Sec : VS Oita Trinita in Oita on March 15

Okayama 1  Oita 0

Fagiano had never won over Oita at away game since they joined J league division 2 in 2009.  Okayama was beaten by the home team in the last phase of the last season and failed to be promoted to the top league.

According to the news, around 150 fans were at the Oita Bank Dome.

The starting line-up was the almost same as last week's game against FC Gifu, except defence player, Kukita who was on the Start List for the first time this season.

In the first half, both teams performed well with thrilling development of the game. The away team struggled against the former J league division 1 team, however, the match remained scoreless before the interval because of goal keeper, Nakabayashi's strenuous efforts.

During the second half, Fagiano suffered from Oita's attacking waves, but Okayama team finally turned the tables that an ace player, Oshitani took a brilliant shot, assisted by Kaji to give Fagiano maximum points from their opening two games of the J. League season.

Match Review 1st Sec : VS FC GIFU at City Light Stadium on March 8

Okayama 3  Gifu 0

2015 season in J league division 2 began. This is the first regular match for Okayama's new head coach, Nagasawa.

This match, five new players including former Japan national players, Iwamasa and Kaji were lined up as a starter.

During the first half, the home team performed an excellent ball-handling. Tadokoro opened the first scoring this season with a short-range effort in the 27th minute. Fagiano was 1 - 0 up by half time.

After the interval, the home team was trying to hit the opponent on counter attack against Gifu's attack of the anger wave. In mid second half,  forward player, Katayama scored the goal and in the 33th minute, former Gifu player, Someya finished off with the third goal.

They also kept their concentration in defense for all the time that the game was goalless.

Fagiano had a great opening match at home stadium with 10,995 spectators.
