2015 Season Review : New comers rose up

2015 season finally ended. Fagiano Okayama finished at 11th position with 54 points out of 22 clubs. Even though their position was lower than 2014 season's, 8th, it seems that their strengths were upgraded by their signings of this year.

This year, two former internationals, Kaji and Iwamasa joined the club. That was a big surprise in Okayama. Everyone was so grateful about their participation. They are experienced and well-known therefore, most supporters expected the club to obtain the ticket to the playoffs.

During the season, especially new comers made strong showings. Needless to say, a captain, Iwamasa contributed in a significant way. He started every matches, encouraging the team. Another Legend, Kaji provided lots of accurate crosses. Former Oita Trinita, Ito was fit to Fagiano's attacking. A defensive midfield player, Watanabe showed defensive steels. A young attacker, Yajima dramatically widened his appeals.

Other new comers who came to Okayama in the middle of the season also did a good job. An attacker, Okamoto made a dramatic clincher against Avispa Fukuoka during the added time at 30th sec. A Korean midfielder, Hwang Jin-Sung reinforced Fagiano's attacking, providing lots of chances as a playmaker.

In terms of results, the club failed to advance the playoffs, but their performances would lead to the next year. Hopefully, all of key players would stay in this club next term as well.

Two clubs in Shimane failed to move up to Japan Football League

This season, Dezzolla Shimane ended up in the second place of Chugoku regional league so that they were not able to grasp the chance for All Japan Regional Football Promotion League Series. One of the possible reasons is that their biggest competitor, Matsue City FC stood up against them.

The one who won the league this season was Matsue City FC. Except the tie game against Dezzolla, Matsue won all of the matches. During this term, they exercised devastating attackings so that the club obtained points at a good rate.

This season, Matsue City FC successfully advanced to All Japan Regional Football Promotion League Series this November, however, the club were eliminated from the first round.

Needless to say, the season was disappointing for both clubs. Next year, they will engage in fierce competition again to obtain the right to make a challenge for the Japan Football League.
