Five minutes after the kickoff, Uejo's shot was blocked by Kyoto. In the 14th minute, Kawamoto's strike was off target. After the cooling break, Umeda made an amazing saving. Later, Okayama struggled to have a possession. In the 38th minute, Okayama conceded an opening goal from their own mistake.


After the break, the game remained the same. In the 55th minute, the rival added a second. In the 73rd minute,Kawano missed the chance for an attempt, crossed by Miyazaki. Right after that, Uejo showed a mid-range shot. In the 82nd minute, Paulinho and Abe came off the bench. In the 86th minute, Abe failed to take a header, crossed by Hiroki. This sec, young goal keeper, Umeda started the game for the first time this season. Centre back, Hamada was back from an injury list. Former Fagiano attacker, Shimizu was listed as a starter.


After the kickoff, Okayama were mostly forced to play on their own side. In the 16th minute, Umeda showed a superb saving, shot by Shimizu. Seven minutes later, Umeda made another fine saving. In the 33rd minute, Kiyama's attempt was denied by Ryukyu's keeper. In the 42nd minute, Miyazaki's strike hit the post, however, Uejo smash the net with brillirant opener.  


Nine minutes after the interval, Miyazaki was replaced by Hamada. In the 61st minute, Shirai doubled their lead with his excellent strike, assisted by Kawamoto. After the cooling break, head coach, Arima sent Kimura and Kawano to clinch the game. In the 84th minute, Kimura added a third with his fantastic shot. While, the red-uniformed men successfully kept a clean sheet.

This season, Ryukyu have been one of the surprises, competing in a promotion race. Therefore, they now target to get the ticket to the upper league.


Former Fagiano strikers, Shimizu and Akamine play for Ryukyu. They have been constantly present so far this term. They know well about Okayama so that they can be the ones to watch out for. While, Uejo and Tokumoto must be motivated against their former club.
 

Emperor's cup 2021:The club make the next step over Tokyo Verdy

The long-waited Emperor's cup finally began. It's been two years since the last time the club took part in the competition.It is known that the cup winner is qualified to AFC Champions League. Since Okayama belong to the division 2 now, this is an only chance for the club to secure the qualification.


On June 16th, the red-uniformed men visited Ajinomoto Field against Tokyo Verdy. In the league campaign, Okayama were defeated by Tokyo on June 5 so that this time, they were expected to make a revenge.


On that day, Okayama's head coach, Arima placed some fresh men in the starting line-up. During the match, the  red-uniformed men aggressively kept pushing forward. During the second half, Noguchi smash the net with a  superb opener. While, Okayama's defenders made efforts for a clean sheet. As a result, the visitors successfully advanced to the next round.

After the kickoff, Okayama struggled to have a possession. While, the rival club aggressively kept attacking forward. In the 16th minute, Kawamotomi ssed the chance to open the score, crossed by Tokumoto. In the 28th minute, Shirai's free kick was off target. In the 31st minute, Miyazaki was not able to grasp a chance. In the 38th minute, Kanayama showed a superb saving. In the 43rd minute, Uejo almost smash the net. The first half ended in a scoreless tie.


Three minutes after the break, Shirai's mid-range attempt was off target. Afterwards, Kimura came off the bench to change the game. In the 60th minute, Miyazaki missed a goal-scoring chance. In the 67th minute, Uejo made an excellent opening goal. In the 73rd minute, Kanayama made another fine saving. In the 81st minute, head coach, Arima sent Kaito ABE and Yamamoto to conclude the match. As a result, the visitors successfully kept a clean sheet.

Last year, Niigata finished in the 11th position of the division 2, which was very disappointing for the former division 1 club. This year, the rival club have been in a good form and play one of the promotion favorites.


Former Fagiano playmaker, Shimada has been constantly ever-present this season. He is good at reading a game and stopping opponent's attacking.

After the kickoff, the home club aggressively kept going forward, trying to create chances. In the 13rd minute, Uejo tried to open the score. In the 22nd minute, Uejo almost found the net. In the 29th minute, his attempt was ballooned over the bar. In the 40th minute, Kimura's header was blocked by the opponent. The first half ended in a scoreless tie.


Right after the interval, Miyazaki missed the chance to break the dead line. In the 47th minute, Kawamoto's strike was denied by Tokyo's goal keeper. Afterwards, Shirai also tired to take a lead. In the 52nd minute, Kawamoto nearly found the net. In the 61st minute, Kanayama made a superb saving. After the cooling break, Yamamoto and Tokumoto came off the bench to change the game. In the 82nd minute, Kimura almost smash the net. During the added time, the red uniformed men conceded a clincher, defeated by the rival.

Tokyo have struggled in the mid-table for the last few years. This season, they aim to join the promotion race so that they made a deal with several talented players.  

One of the key players is a young striker, Yamashita. His speed and shooting ability could be the ones to watch out for. The red-uniformed men are expected to stop him.

This sec, veteran playmaker, Kiyama was back in the starting line-up. He faced his former club. Brazilian  playmaker, Paulinho was back on the bench from the injury list.


Right after the kickoff, Kawamoto almost found the net with his mid-range shot. Two minutes later, Miyazaki's strike was ballooned over the bar. In the 12th minute, Kimura's strike was side-netted. In the 19th minute, Kimura was not able to keep a ball in the rival's box, passed by a centre back, Abe. In the 34th minute, Abe  missed the chance to head on target. The first half ended in a scoreless tie.


Five minutes after the break, captain, Kiyama smash the net with a brilliant opener. In the 56th minute, the visitors took a counter-attack, trying to add a second. Right after that, Abe nearly doubled their lead with his header, from their corner. In the 63rd minute, Paulinho and Tokumoto came off the bench. In the 67th minute, Uejo showed a superb long-range shot, it was saved by Matsumoto's goal keeper. In the 75th minute, Uejo add a second with a superb strike. In the 85th minute, the red-uniformed men conceded a goal. At the end of the game,Yamamoto made an excellent clincher. As a result, Arima's men obtained three points.
