Match Review 11th Sec : VS Tokyo Verdy at City Light Stadium on April 28

This sec, Brazilian poacher, LEO MINEIRO was back as a starter. He was expected to finalize the game. Young striker, Fukumoto stood by as a substitute. A goal keeper, Ichimori is becoming a firm fixture in the starting line-up.


During the first half, Okayama struggled to take the initiative of the game. Eight minutes after the kickoff,  a free kick was given to Okayama. LEO MINEIRO was not able to grasp the chance to open the score. Seven minutes later, Korean forward, Lee Yong-Jae headed off target. In the 19th minute, thehome team's corner was cleared by the visitors. In the 31st minute, Lee Yong-Jae missed another chance. In the 38th minute, the red-uniformed men conceded an opening goal. Afterwards, Arima's men still struggled to change the game.


One minute after the break, a striker, Nakama tried to equalize the match. In the 51st minute, a young attacker, Kubota's free kick was denied by the rival. In the 58th minute, his another free kick was cleared by Kofu. In the 64th minute, a goal keeper, Ichimori showed an excellent saving. Two minutes later, Fukumoto came off the bench to change the game. In the 69th minute, Lee Yong-Jae almost smashed the net. In the 75th minute, he stroke
a fantastic equalizer. During the add time, the Korean goal-scoring machine failed to create the chance for the clincher. The match ended in a tie.

Match Preview 11th Sec : VS Tokyo Verdy at City Light Stadium on April 28

In 2018, Verdy made a breakthrough throughout the season. The club successfully advanced to the final of the playoffs from the 6th place of the division 2 even though they failed to get back to the top league.


The club new head coach, Gary John WHITE and his men now struggle around the bottom of the table. It seems that the English boss are still trying to form his team.
  

At the last sec, Tokyo hosted Albirex Niigata. Five minutes after the kickoff, Tokyo conceded an opening goal. Afterwards, the home club struggled to take the initiative of the match. In the 65th minute, they successfully made an equalizer, obtaining one point.

Match Review 10th Sec : VS Tokushima Vortis at City Light Stadium on April 20

This sec, head coach, Arima placed some fresh players such as Takeda, Mukuhara and Mimura. Mimura started the game for the first time this season. Former Fagiano ace forward, Oshitani was listed in the starting line-up.


Three minutes after the kickoff, a free kick was given to the home side. A young attacker, Kubota's cross was denied by the Tokushima. One minute later, Korean poacher, Lee Yong-Jae missed the chance to open the score. In the 6th minute, Okayama conceded an opener. In the 13rd minute, Korean forward's attempt was saved by the rival's goal keeeper. In the 20th minute, a young striker, Nakama almost smashed the net. In the 33rd minute, he was not able to grasp another chance. In the 37th minute, goal keeper, Ichimori showed a fine saving. Four minutes later, Lee Yong-Jae almost found the net. Right before the break, he stroke an excellent equalizer. The first half ended in a tie.


After the break, Mimura was replaced by Brazilian striker, LEO MINEIRO. In the 51st minute,  LEO MINEIRO tried to enter the box and add a second, but he was stopped by Tokushima's defender. Seven minutes later, his shot was denied by Tokushima's goal keeper. In the 71st minute, Kubota's free kick did not work well. Four minutes later, Nakama made a brilliant clincher. Afterwards, Okayama suffered from the rival's massive attacks. During the added time, Okayama boss sent two defenders such as Kiyama and Shimoguchi to secure their victory. As a result, the red-uniformed men successfully obtained three points.

Match Preview 10th Sec : VS Tokushima Vortis at City Light Stadium on April 20

Last Autumn, the club stayed in the good position for playoffs, but at the end of the season, they struggled to obtain three points, as a result, they finished in the 11th position.


Former Fagiano ace forward, Oshitani plays for the rival. As of now, he has seven appearances with one goal in total so far. He can be the one to watch out for.


At the last sec, Tokushima faced Ehime FC at PRIDE OF CHUSHIKOKU Derby. During the match, both club aggressively kept pushing forward. In the 34th minute, they conceded an opening goal, however, before the end of the game, Oshitani stroke an excellent equalizer, bringing a point to his club.

Match Review 9th Sec : VS JEF United Chiba at Fukuda Denshi Arena on April 14

This sec, a goal keeper, Ichimori started the game for the first time this season. A young forward, TAKEDA Takuma was listed on the reserve list for the first time this term. Chiba's ace striker, Funayama was not listed for the member of this sec.


In the 9th minute, a playmaker, Ueda was replaced by TAKEDA Shohei due to his leg injury. Afterwards, Okayama face difficulties, creating chances. In the 34th minute, Brazilian poacher, LEO MINEIRO entered the box, but failed to provide a cross. Five minutes later, his another cross was denied by Chiba's goal keeper, Sato. In the 42nd minute, a free kick was given to the visitors. A young attacker, Kubota's set piece was stopped by Sato. Before the end of the first half, Korean forward, Lee Yong-Jae was not able to create a chance in the box. The first period ended in a scoreless tie. 


Two minutes after the break, TAKEDA Shohei tried to make a cross, but it was blocked by Sato. One minute later, LEO MINEIRO made an attempt for an opener. In the 53rd minute, an attacker, Nakama missed anther chance. In the 62nd mintue, Kubota failed to blaze the ball. 11 minutes later, he was replaced by an experienced attacker, Mimura. In the 79th minute, Lee Yong-Jae nearly smashed the net. Six minutes later, TAKEDA Takuma came off the bench. During the added time, Mimura tried to make a clincher, but it was off target. As a result, the red-uniformed men obtained only one point.

Match Preview 9th Sec : VS JEF United Chiba at Fukuda Denshi Arena on April 14

In 2018, Chiba ended in the 14th position of the division 2, which was their worst performance since the club were relegated from the upper league. They have been struggling in the league for the last nine seasons.


An ace attacker, Funayama is the one to watch out for. He has scored 19 goals last term and he can trigger his club's attacking. Fagiano defenders are required to mark him with an extra care.


On April 7th, Chiba visited Kanazawa against Zweigen Kanazawa. During the match, Chiba struggled to take the initiative of the game. In the 72nd minute, Chiba conceded a goal. Afterwards, the visitors were not able to smash the net despite their massive attack.

Match Review 8th Sec : VS Albirex Niigata at City Light Stadium on April 7

This sec, an experienced defender, Kiyama was back in the starting line-up. Brazilian striker, LEO MINEIRO also started the game for the first time in five matches.  Niigata's key player, Leonardo was not listed for today's
member.


Two minutes after the kickoff, Okayama conceded an opening goal. Three minutes later, a penalty was given to the home club. A playmaker, Ueda's penalty was stopped by Niigata's goal keeper, Otani, but young attacker, Nakama smashed the net. In the 9th minute, Nakama tried to add a second, provided by LEO MINEIRO. In the 18th minute, Nakama was not able to grasp another chance. Four minutes later, Ueda's free kick was cleared by the rival. In the 28th minute, veteran defender, Tanaka's header was saved by Otani. In the 40th minute, Nakama failed to create a chance. The first period ended in a tie.


Right after the interval, Korean poacher, Lee Yong-Jae blazed fantastic goal, crossed by a new signing, Hiroki. One minute later, an experienced goal keeper, Kanayama showed a fine saving. The Korean ace foward doubled the club's lead with his fine strike. In the 59th minute, Nakama failed to add a third. Three minutes later, Kanayama showed another fine saving. LEO MINEIRO was replaced by a chance-taker, Saito to secure their victory. However, afterwards, Okayama suffered from Niigata's massive attacks. In the 73rd minute, the home club conceded a goal. In the 85th minute, Hiroki almost found the net. During the added time, a defender, Masuda came off the bench to close the game, but right before the end, the match was shockingly equalized by the rival.

Match Preview 8th Sec : VS Albirex Niigata at City Light Stadium on April 7

Last year, Niigata finished in the 16th position of the division 2, which was very disappointing for the former division 1 club. This year, their target is to get the ticket to the upper league.


Before the new season, Albirex signed with some talented players. Brazilian forward, Leonardo is one of these. Last term, he won the golden boot of the division 3 with for 24 goals in 31 appearances for Gainare Tottori.


At the last sec, Niigata faced Machida Zelvia. During the match, Niigata aggressively kept pushing forward to take the initiative of the match. After the break, in the 59th minute, Niigata successfully opened the score and afterwards, kept a clean sheet against Machida.

Match Review 7th Sec : VS Omiya Ardija at Nack 5 Stadium on April 3

This sec, head coach, Arima placed the same starting line-up as the last sec. A young forward, Fukumoto was listed on the reserve list. He was expected to play to chgange the game. Former Fagiano attacker, Sakai started the game.


Five minutes after the kickoff, Korean poacher, Lee Yong-Jae tried to enter the box, but it was offside. Two minutes later, an experienced playmaker, Ueda's corner was cleared by Omiya's defender. In the 16th minute, Okayama had a corner twice, but all were denied by the rival. In the 34th minute, Lee Yong-Jae entered the box and tried to open the score. Three minutes later, an experienced goal keeper, Kanayama showed a fine saving. In the 40th minute, Ueda's set piece was blocked by the opponent. In the 40th mintue, Ueda failed to provide a cross into the box. Right before the interval, an experienced attacker, Saito missed the chance to smash the net. The first half ended in scoreless tie.


Four minute after the break, Lee Yong-Jae was not able to make an attempt. In the 53rd minute, he missed another chance for an opener. One minute later, he headed off target. In the 61st minute, Fukumoto sent off to change the game. In the 62nd minute, Saito successfully found the net, assisted by Ueda. Later, Okayama suffered from the host's countercharge.Arima sent two players, Shimoguchi and Masuda onto the pitch. In the 80th minute, Shimoguchi missed the chance for a clincher. After that, the visitors shockingly conceded two goals. During the added time, a defender, Hiroki tried to make an equalizer, but it was denied by Omiya's goal keeper. As a result, the red-uniformed men were defeated by former division 1 club.

Match Preview 7th Sec : VS Omiya Ardija at Nack 5 Stadium on April 3

In 2018, Omiya were not able to get back to the upper league even though the powerfull club successfully advanced to the playoffs. For former division 1 club, the promotion is a must this season.


Before the new season, the club welcomed former V・Varen Nagasaki head coach, Takagi who had led his former club to the division 1 in 2017.  He is highly expected to bring a success to his new club.


At the last sec, Omiya faced V・Varen Nagasaki. During the match, Omiya gradually took the initiative of the match. In the 55th minute, fomer Nagasaki striker, Juanma Delgado smashed the net with a fine opener. Afterwards, they successfully kept a clean sheet, defeating Nagasaki.
