On August 14th, Okayama welcomed 2018 J League division 1 champion, Kawasaki Frontale at City Light Stadium. This match, some fresh players were placed in the starting line-up such as a new signing,Nishimura and a young forward, Nakano.
During the match, Okayama agressively kept pushing forward. The first half ended in a scoreless tie. Right after the break, Nakano smashed the net with an excellent opening goal. Okayama's defenders made efforts, trying to keep a clean sheet, but during the added time, the game was equalized by the rival.
During the extention, Brazilian striker, LEO MINEIRO aggressively tried to make a clincher. However, before the end of the match, the home club conceded a clincher. As a result, Okayama lost the ticket to the next round.
