Match Preview 20th Sec : VS Yokohama FC at Mitsuzawa Football Stadium on June 29

In 2018, Yokohama FC finished in the 3rd place and successfully advanced to the final of the playoffs. However, they lost to the division 1 club, Jubilo Iwata. This year, their target is to finish within top two.


Two former Fagiano man, Watanabe and Tadokoro play for Yokoyama FC. They have been struggling to become a firm fixture in the starting line-up in 2019. An ace striker, Ibba is one of the key players. He has already scored eight goals so far this season.


On June 22nd, Yokohama faced Mito Hollyhock. Even though Yokoyama made an opening goal, they struggled to take the initiative of the game. In the 38th minute, they concede an equalizer. As a result, the match ended in a tie.

Match Review 19th Sec : VS FC Machida Zelvia at Machida Stadium on June 23

This sec, young Korean defender, CHOI Jung Won was back as a starter.  three attackers, Lee Yong-Jae, Akamine and Nakama are listed in the starting line-up. They are expected to bring a victory to the club. Former Fagiano attacker, JEONG Chung-Geun stood by as a substitute.

  
Six minutes after the kickoff, Lee Yong-Jae smashed the net with an excellent opening goal, assisted by young attacker, Kubota. Later, the visitors struggled to have a possession. In the 15th minute, a goal keeper, Ichimori showed a fine saving. In the 21st minute, Lee Yong-Jae failed to keep a ball close to the box. In the 35th minute, Ichimori showed anther good saving. In the 37th minute, playmaker, Sekido almost added a second. Four minutes later, a young attacker, Kubota's attempt was off target. Two minutes later, his corner was denied by Machida's goal keeper. 




Two minutes after the break, an experienced centre back, Hamada tried to find the net, but it was blocked by the rival. One minute later, Akamine took a header, but it was judged as an offside. In the 59th minute, Kubota's corner was cleared by the opponent. In 69th minute, Akamine was replaced by a young striker, Fukumoto. In the 76th minute, Okayama conceded an equalizer. Five minutes later, another forward, Nakano came off the bench. In the 38th minute, Ichimori made a fine stopping. Three minutes later, CHOI Jung Won nearly made a clincher. During the added time, target man, Masuda came in, but the red-uniformed men were not able to obtain three points.

Match Preview 19th Sec : VS FC Machida Zelvia at Machida Stadium on June 23

Last season, Zelvia were one of surprises in the league, finishing in the 4th place of the table even though the club had no division 1 license.


Former Fagiano attacker, JEONG Chung-Geun plays for Machida. He has been constantly present this term. Okayama's defenders are required to mark him with an extra care.


Last sec, Machida hosted V・Varen Nagasaki. During the first half, Machida struggled to push forward so that the home club conceded two goals. While, after the break, Machida scored two goals including Machida's ace forward, Togashi's equalizer. The match ended in a tie.

Match Review 18th Sec : VS Renofa Yamaguchi at City Light Stadium on June 15

This sec, a full back, Hiroki was back as a starter. Three attackers, Lee Yong-Jae, Akamine and Nakama are expected to score a goal. Two young forwards, Fukumoto and Nakano stood by as a substitute.


The pitch was wet and slippy because of the heavy rainy on the day. One minute after the kickoff, a free kick was given to Okayama, but Lee Yong-Jae was not able to keep the ball after the setpiece. In the 11th minute, Akamine missed the chance for an opener, provided by centre back, Hamada. Six minutes later, Lee Yong-Jae failed to grasp another chance. In the 19th minute, his header was denied by Yamaguchi's goalie, Yoshimitsu. In the 31st minute, Nakama almost smashed the net with his mid-range attempt. In the 44th minute, Akamine tried to receive a through pass from a young playmaker, Kubota. The first half ended in a scoreless tie.


Three minutes after the break, Nakama's cross was stopped by Yoshimitsu. In the 54th mintue, a free kick was given to the home club. Kubota failed to provide a cross with Lee Yong-Jae. In the 60th minute, Kubota showed a fine attempt, but it was denied by Yoshimitsu. In the 65th minute, Lee Yong-Jae nearly found the net. Two minutes later, Akamine was replaced by Nakano. In the 68th minute, Nakama's header hit the post. Five minutes later, an experienced centre back, Tanaka headed off. In the 84th minute, a playmaker, Takeda stroke an excellent mid-range opener. One minute later, a young defender, Shimoguchi came off the bench to secure their victory, however, In the 89th minute, the game was equalized by the rival. As a result, the match ended in a tie.

Match Preview 18th Sec : VS Renofa Yamaguchi at City Light Stadium on June 15

This is PRIDE OF CHUSHIKOKU Derby therefore, the match is highly expected to be heated. This season, the rival target the promotion to the division 1 so that they signed some talented players before the term.


Former Japan international, Kudo is one of these. He has been constantly present so far this season. He has scored two goals with 15 appearances in 2019.


On June 8, Yamaguchi welcomed Yokohama FC. During the match, Yamaguchi made efforts, not letting the opponent's ace striker, Ibba do his job. Before the end of the match, the home club conceded an opener with the rival's penalty. During the added time, Yamaguchi successfully made an equalizer, obtaining a point.

Match Review 17th Sec : VS V・Varen Nagasaki at Transcosmos Stadium Nagasaki on June 8

This sec, veteran striker, Akamine was back in the starting line-up for the first time since the opening match. Two young attackers, Fukumoto and Nakano were listed on the reserve list. Former Fagiano playmaker, Otake started the game.


Three minutes after the kickoff, a free kick was given to Okayama. A playmaker, Sekido tried to open the score, but it was denied by the opponent's goal keeper, Tomisawa. In the 16t minute, Akamine missed the chance for an opener. One minute later, an attacker, Nakama almost smashed the net. In the 20th minute, Akamine blazed the shot, but it was blocked by Tomisawa. In the 23rd mintue, an experienced defender, Mukuhara failed to provide a pass with Akamine. In the 39th minute, Akamine tried to make a through pass with Lee Yong-Jae. Four minutes later, Nakama stroke a brilliant opening goal.


Nine minutes after the interval, Nakama added a second with an excellent header, assisted by Mukuhara. In the 68th minute, Nakama entered the box and tried to provide a cross. In the 77th minute, Lee Yong-Jae made a fantastic clincher, crossed by Akamine. Two minutes later, the red-uniformed men conceded a goal. Afterwards, a head coach, Arima sent Fukumoto and Nakano onto the pitch. Later, Arima's men barely obtained three points even through Okayama conceded a goal before the end of the game.

Match Preview 17th Sec : VS V・Varen Nagasaki at Transcosmos Stadium Nagasaki on June 8

In 2018, Nagasaki made a strong showing in the division 1 even though that was their first time to play in the upper league. As a result, they failed to survive, relegating to the division 2. Their target is to get the ticket for the top league.


Former Fagiano attacker, Otake plays for Nagasaki. He has been constantly present this term. He has scored one goal so far this term. The red uniformed men are required to mark the playmaker with an extra care.


Last sec, Nagasaki faced JEF United Chiba. During the game, Nagasaki aggressively kept pushing forward. In the 14th minute, a young forward, Goya opened the score. Afterwards, they added three goals, defeating former division
1 club in 4 - 1.

Match Review 16th Sec : VS Ehime FC at City Light Stadium on June 1

This sec, an experienced centre back, Hamada and a new signing, Nakano were listed for the first time this term. A veteran forward, Akamine was back on the bench. Former Fagiano man, Fujimoto and Tamabayashi started the game.


One minute after the kickoff, an attacker, Okamoto blazed the ball, but it was saved by Ehime's goal keeper, Okamoto. Right after that, a free kick was given to the host club, but it was blocked by the opponent. In the 12th minute, Nakama failed to provide a through pass. In the 26th minute, a goal keeper, Ichimori showed a fine saving. In the 35th minute, a side back, Mukuhara failed to provide a pass with Korean forward, Lee Yong-Jae. In the 39th minute, Nakano smashed the net with a fantastic opener. Four minutes later, Ichimori made another
great saving.


Two minutes after the break, Nakano tried to add a second, but it was saved by Okamoto. In the 52nd minute, Nakama almost added a second. In the 59th minute, Lee Yong-Jae failed to double the advantage. Three minutes later, Nakama was not able to grasp anther chance. In the 75th minute, Nakano headed off target, crossed by Kubota. One minute later, Nakano was replaced by a young striker, Fukumoto. In the 82nd minute, Fukumoto failed to finalize the game. Afterwards, Arima sent Shimoguchi and Akamine onto the pitch. As a result, the red-uniformed men successfully obtained three points at PRIDE OF CHUSHIKOKU DERBY.
