Gainare Tottori struggled in a slump this year

Before this season, Tottori was considered one of the hopefuls for the promotion to the division 2. However, during the season, The team continued to perform poorly, therefore, the club finished in
15th place of 16 clubs.



Even though a veteran Brazilian attacker, Fernandinho made a strong showing with seven goals in toal this year, other forwards revealed the lack of ability to score goals. It's been announced that the team's head coach, Hashiratani is dismissed due to the poor performance of the team.



Next year, the club are expected to come back to the division 2 since the league approved their division's license. In order to reinforce the club's strength, an appropriate addition would be
needed.

Renofa Yamaguchi made strenuous efforts through this season

This term, Yamaguchi had a strong showing, finishing in the 12th place with 53 points even though this was the first season for the club to play in the division 2 since the orange-uniformed men got
promoted from the division 3 last year. 



This year, an ace striker, Kishida, the top scorer in 2015 J3 division league suffered in a slump becasue of his several injuries. His total score this season is only four. However, a young attacker, Nakayama did well, scoring 11 goals this term. He became one of key players in the club.



It seems that as one of the football clubs in Chugoku region, the club have established a solid presence. Next season, Renofa are expected to compete for the playoffs.

2016 Season Review : Best performance in the club's history

Finally 2016 season ended. Fagiano Okayama finished at 6th position with 65 points out of 22 clubs. The club were successfully able to advance to the playoffs and defeated 3rd position, Matsumoto Yamaga FC at the semifinal. The club showed a best performance in their history.


Before this season, Okayama acquired some talented attackers such as a veteran Akamine and a young striker, Toyokawa. Therefore, the club's attacking strength were dramatically enhanced. Especially, they are much better with set plays.



A young playmaker, Yajima established a presence in the midfield. He usually trigered the club's attacking and assisted his teammates to score goals. He was selected as international at 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. 



While new comers struggled to perform well. A young attacker, Sakai did not have lots of chances to appear. A Chinese forward, who came on a loan from Wang Jingbin Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao FC in Chinese Super League division 1, had no chance to be on the picth since he joined the club this summer.



This season, the club struggled to defeat some powerful clubs like former the division 1 clubs. In order to secure the ticket to the upper league in 2017, the team must be reinforced more. It is
expected that most of key players would remain in the club next term. 

The club's transfer information #2 / 2016

A young attacer, Fujioka's contract expired. In 2013, he came to the club. He has mainly played for Fagiano Next. His total score in carrer is 21 goals in 88 appearances.


A forward, Kobayashi also leave Okayama. He joind the team in 2013. He played as a main force of Next, but he played for the top team against Thespakusatsu Gunma in 2015.


A young defender, Kidoku won't play as the red-uniformed men next year. He is the product of the division 1 club, Urawa Reds. This term, he has scored one goal with 28 appearances. He will play for SC Sagamihara in the division 3 next term.


A Korean forward, Kwon Ro-An leave Okayama. He didn't have lots of chances to play on the pitch. He had a disappointed season this year.


An attacker, Watanabe came to Fagiano from KOCHI U TORASTAR FC in Shikoku Regional League before this season. He has appeared at 26 matches with one goal.

2016 Season Review : Solid in defence

This year, Fagiano displayed strong showings in defence. They conceded 44 goals of 42 matches. The number is acually worse than the last year, 35 goals, however, Okayama's defenders were stable throughout the season.



Former international, Iwamasa made an extraordinary contribution as a spiritual pillar. He played at almost every match this season as a captain. Needless to say, he had a strong presence in the club.



A goal keeper, Nakabayashi showed lots of excellent savings this season as well. He was ever-present this year and very stable. Needless to say, his excellent performances saved his team a lot. 



A young defender, Shinohara showed a solid performance as well. It seems that he gained his teammate's trust. Next term, he is expected to lead the team's defender, since Iwamasa leaves the club this season break.



An experienced defenders, Takeda and Kim Jin-Kyu also performed solidly. Unfortunately, Kukita and Kondo received heavy injuries and missed all of the matches this season. The club are expected to improve their defence more next year.

2016 Season Review : Strengthened offensive strength

This term, Okayama successfully reinforced their attacking strength. Their total score is 58 goals, which is more than the last year, 40 goals. However, the team actually had more chances to score.



Okayama's top scorer is an ace forward, Oshitani as well as the last year. He scored 14 goals this term, which is the best in his career. It seems that he had more chances than the last term because of the presence of veteran forward, Akamine.



A young attacker, Toyokawa scored ten goals. He mainly plays to change the game. His introduction during the game was very effective to reinforce the club's offence. This is his first season to play constantly as a main force.



Akamine scored four goals less than expected, however, he made a great contribution to strengthen the club's offensive strength. A rookie forward, Fujimoto was not able to score a goal in the regular
season. He is expected to make a breakthough next season.



In order to get promoted to the division 1 next year, their attacking strength needs to be more enhanced. The club are expected to take some measures to improve the current situation.

After the end of the regular season, Fagiano have started reorganizing the club. As of now, the club already announced that some of the players leave Okayama.



A Korean defender, Kim Jin-Kyu is one of them. He joined the club from Pattaya United in 2016. He has played as Korean international before. He reinforced the club's defence as an experienced defender. 



A young goal keeper, Matsubara also leaves the club. He came to Okayama in 2011 from Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo under 18. He firstly played for Fagiano Next, later he was not able to appear in J League.

A defensive midfielder, Shimada won't play for the club next year. He came to Okayama from Waseda University in 2013. Since then, he was constantly on the pitch. He made more than 100 matches in the division 2.



An experience forward, Kubo leaves Okayama too. In 2014, he made a deal with the club, coming from Gainare Tottori. He scored six goals for Okayama. This year, he played on a loan for Mito Hollyhock, but he was not able to score a goal for Mito.

Playoff Final Review : VS Cerezo Osaka at Kincho Stadium on December 4

Okayama's destiny depends on this important match. A young striker, Toyokawa was listed as a starter instead of an ace attacker,  Oshitani. He was expected to finalize the game. While, the rival's ace forward, Kakitani played as a starter.


After the kickoff, Osaka took the initiative of the match, while Okayama struggled to take shots. In 15th minute, a captain, Iwamasa took a header, trying to make an opening goal. In 26th minute, an expernenced goal keeper Nakabayashi showed an excellent saving, encouraging his teammates. Six minutes later, an attacker, Mimura tried to make a chance. In 35th minute, an attacker, Ito failed to provide a pass with a young striker, Toyokawa. Later, Iwamasa almost found the net. The first period ended in a scoreless tie.


Two minutes after the break, Mimura took a shot, but it was blocked by the rival's goalkeeper. Two minutes later, Toyokawa failed to make an opener with his header. In 54th minute, Osaka's attacker, Kiyohara stroke an opener. In 69th minute, a free kick was given to the red-uniformed men, however, they were not able to grasp the chance. Playoff Final Preview : VS Cerezo Osaka at Kincho Stadium on December 4

At the semifinal, Osaka met Kyoto Sanga FC. During the match, Cerezo took the initiative of the game.In 13rd minute, an ace attacker, Kakitani smashed the net. Later, the club kept attacking agressively, but they were not able to add a second. Even though the match was equalized by Kyoto, the club adnvanced to the final since Osaka finished in the fourth place of the league. While, Kyoto finished in the fifth.


Osaka's ace attacker, Kakitani is the one to watch out for. This season at the 17th sec, He got seriously injured and was not able to appear almost all the rest of the term. After he came back, he had fully reinforced the club's attacking strength. He scored a goal at the playoff semifinal.


Okayama have never defeated Osaka before, so the match is expected to be very tough. However, in order for the club to get promoted for the upper league, a victory is a must. This is the last match of this season.

Playoff Semifinal Review : VS Matsumoto Yamaga FC at Matsumotodaira Football Stadium on November 27

This match, head coach, Nagasawa placed an attacker, Mimura in the starting line-up instead of a veteran, Kaji. An ace striker, Oshitani was listed as a starter. He was expected to play as a chance-taker. While, ex-Fagiano men, Kiyama, Goto and Ishihara played as a starter.


After the kickoff, more chances belonged to Matsumoto, while, the red-uniformed defenders made a strong showing. Afterwards, a young playmaker, Yajima took a mid-range shot. In 23rd minute, Oshitani stroke an excellent opener, assisted by a veteran, Akamine. Later, a goal keeper, Nakabayashi showed several nice savings, therefore, the team successfully kept a clean sheet.



After the interval, Okayama were mostly forced to play on their own side. In 73th minute, a young attacker, Sakai came off the bench to change the game, but one minute later, it was shockingly equalized by the opponent. Later, two young attackers, Fujimoto and Toyokawa were sent onto the pitch. During the added time, Akamine made a superb clincher, finalizing the match. This is the first time for Okayama to play in the playoffs. In this knockout competition, the club face Matsumoto, the third place in the regular season. This term, the red-uniformed men had one victory at their home stadium and one draw match in Matsumoto.


The opponent's key player is an experienced forward, Takasaki. He has scored 16 goals as a chance-taker this season. He is expected to play as a starter on November 27, therefore, Okayama's defenders are required to handle his performance with an extra care.


In order for Fagiano to advance to the final, a victory is a must, so that they are required to be more aggressive for goals. Nagasawa's men are to play under distinctive pressure, therefore experienced players such as Iwamasa and Kaji are expected to lead their team mates.

A minute after the kickoff, a young playmaker, Yajima tried to make an opener, but it was blocked by the opponent. In 14th minute, a free kick was given to Okayama. A captain, Iwamasa headed a superb opening goal. Two minutes later, an ace forward, Oshitani added an excellent second, assisted by an attacker, Mimura. In 20th minute, he stroke a beautiful third, taking the initiative of the match. In 31st minute, Yajima failed to provide with a cross. Seven minutes later, Mimura took a mid-range shot. In 40th minute, a veteran striker, Akamine missed a chance to add a fourth. During the added time, Segawa scored a goal. 


Two minutes after the interval, Oshitani tried to find the net. Afterwards, he was replaced by Toyokawa. In 52nd minute, an experienced striker, Ito failed to take a shot.  Three minutes later, the visitors added a second, changing the game. In 57th minute, Yajima missed the chance to make a clincher. Three minutes later, an attacker, Katayama came in. In 68th minute, a young defender, Shinohara headed off. In 75th minute, Akamine tried to take a shot. On April 16, during the match, a rookie attacker, Fujimoto showed his efforts, making several chances. In 26th minute, Kaji netted an excellent opener in the box. After the break, Fujimoto failed to add a second. Later, a young striker, Toyokawa was placed onto the pitch to finalize the game. As a result, Okayama successfully kept a clean sheet, bringing a victory to their fans.


A rookie attacker, Segawa is the one to watch out for. He has reinforced the club's attacking strength since he joined the club and scored 12 goals so far. He used to be Fujimoto's team mate in Meiji university.


On November 12, Gunma met Tokushima Vortis. During the match, more chances belonged to Vortis. At the first period, Gunma conceded three goals, while, they were not able to score any goals. As a result, the team were beaten.


This season, Gunma have struggled to chase the top group. while, they successfully made it to remain in the league next year. Okayama are highly expected to secure their ticket to the playoffs, therefore, a victory is a must for the club. 

JFL Match Review 15th Sec (2nd) : VS Azul Claro Numazu on November 13

On March 13, during the match, Next struggled to strike a goal, while Numazu smashed an opener with a penalty kick. While, Okayama disappointedly failed to equalize the match. As a result, Fagiano were defeated by the rival 0 - 1.


During the match, Next struggled to take the initiative. At the first half, the rival scored three goals, securing their victory. After the break, a young attacker, Kobayashi stroke an excellent goal, but it was too late. As a result, Fagiano failed to equalize the game.


This sec was the last match of this season. Okayama ended up at the bottom of the league. Sadly, they had a disappointing term this season.

Match Review 41th Sec : VS Shimizu S-Pulse at IAI Stadium Nihondaira on November 12

This sec, a playmaker, Sekido and a veteran defender, Sawaguchi were back in the starting line-up. Ex-international, Kaji was back from an injury list. A rookie attacker, Fujimoto stood by as a substitute. He was expected to score the first goal in his career. 


After the kickoff, Shimizu aggressively kept trying to take the initiative. While, a veteran forward, Akamine tried to make chances for an opener. In 8th minute, a corner was given to Okayama, but an attacker, Ito was not able to provide with a good cross. In 16th minute, a captain, Iwamasa mistakenly made an own goal. Three minutes later, he failed to make an equalizer with his header. An attacker, Mimura tried to make a cross, but it did not work well. In 34th minute, S-Pulse's forward, CHONG Tese added a second with his header. Afterward, an ace striker, Oshitani made a strong showing to score a goal, but he was not able to grasp the chance. 


After the break, the red-uniformed men tried to change the game. In 48th minute, a defender, Sawaguchi took a shot, provided by Ito. In 54th minute, a young attacker, Katayama failed to make a cross. In 62nd minute, a young striker, Toyokawa came in to take the initiative. Right after that, he stroke a superb goal, encouraging his team. In 71st minute, a young playmaker, Yajima tried to make an equalizer with his mid-range shot, but it was blocked by the opponent. Later, a rookie forward, Fujimoto was sent onto the pitch. Seven minutes later, a young attacker, Sakai sent off the bench. During the added time, Toyokawa took a mid-range shot, but he was not able to equalize the game. As a result, Fagiano were disappointedly beaten by the powerful club.

On July 3, after the break, both clubs struggled to score so that the first period ended in a tie. During the second period, In 67th minute, Shimizu's forward, CHONG Tese stroke an opener. Four minutes later, Toyokawa made a memorable equalizer.In 76th minute, Ito added a second, assisted by Toyokawa. In 85th minute, the opponent's Shirasaki equalized the match. As a result, the match ended in a tie.


An Ace attacker, Omae was back from an injury list and he has reinforced the club's attacking strength. He has scored 18 goals so far. Okayama's defenders are required to mark him with an extra care.


On November 6, Shimizu faced Kamatamare Sanuki. During the match, Shimizu aggressively kept attacking. In 38th minute, a veteran midfielder, Edamura made an opener. After the break, an ace forward, CHONG Tese added a second. Even though S-Pulse conceded a goal later, this powerful club defeated Sanuki.


Shimizu now are in a good form with seven straight victories. They aim for the top two, therefore the match is expected to be very tough. In order for Okayama to advance to the playoffs, at least one point is a must.  

JFL Match Review 14th Sec (2nd) : VS Sony Sendai FC on November 5

On March 6, 12 minutes after the kickoff, a young attacker, Kobayashi smashed an opener, but later, the visitors mostly dominated the match. Sendai added three goals one after another. As a result, Okayama were beaten by the rival 1 - 3.

During the match, Next struggled to take the initiative of the match. In 29th minute, Sendai made an opening goal. Two minutes later, they added a second. Afterwards, Fagiano revealed the lack of ability to equalize the game.



At 15th sec, Okayama face Azul Claro Numazu. This is the last match for Next, therefore, the club are highly expected to bring a victory to their fans. The match takes place in Numazu. 

Match Review 40th Sec : VS Mito Hollyhock at City Light Stadium on November 6

This sec, a defender, Takeda didn't appear because of his injury. Two midfield player, Mimura and Shimada were back in the starting line-up. A young striker, Toyokawa played as a starter.
He was expected to perform as a chance-taker.


After the kickoff, Okayama struggled to take the initiative of the game. In 9th minute, Toyokawa failed to receive a pass from a veteran forward, Akamine. Three minutes later, Mimura tried to
smash the net.In 22nd minute, an experienced goal keeper, Nakabayashi showed a good blocking. In 28th minute, Mimura failed to provide a cross. Three minutes later, Akamine took a shot, but it was blocked by the visitors. In 38th minute, a free kick was given to Okayama, but they were not able to grasp the chance. In 40th minute, Mimura tried to provide another cross, but the red-uniformed men were not able to make an opener before the break.


After the interval, the game remained the same. In 9th minute, the rival's forward, Yamamura made an opening goal. Six minutes later, a playmaker, Sekido was sent onto the field. Right after that, a penalty was given to Okayama so that Toyokawa successfully equalized the match. In 20th minute, a Korean defender, Kim Jinkyu provided a cross, but it didn't work. Afterwards, Mimura was replaced by a young attacker, Sakai. Sakai tried to make a chance with his cross. In 39th minute, Nakabayashi made a superb saving. One minute later, Nagasawa's men conceded a goal. Oshitani came in to change the game. Afterwards, Okayama were not able to equalize the match. As a result, the club got down to 6th place in the division 2 league.

Match Preview 40th Sec : VS Mito Hollyhock at City Light Stadium on November 6

On March 20, the match was literally dramatic. During the first period, Okayama had almost no chance and it ended in a scoreless tie.  After the break, Iwamasa headed an opener. In 62nd minute, ace attacker, Oshitani added a goal.However, during the added time, the game was shockingly equalized, disappointing every Fagiano fan. One minute later, Iwamasa dramatically finalized the match with his heading, bringing a victory to Okayama.



This summer, an ace attacker, Mishima left the club for Matsumoto Yamaga thefore, Mito acquired a striker, Kubo from Okayama. Kubo now plays as a trump. Another attacker, Hiramatsu can be viewed as a threat. He has been almost ever-present since this summer and he has already scored four goals.




On November 3, Mito met Tokushima Vortis. During the match, more chances belonged to Tokushima. In 27th minute, Tokushima's forward, Watari made an opening goal. After the break, Vortis added two goals, one after another. As a result, Mito were defeated.
 


This season, the club's priority is to remain in the division 2 league. Therefore, the Mito are highly motivated to obtain points. In order for Okayama to secure advancing to the playoffs, a victory
is a must for the red-uniformed men.

Match Review 39th Sec : VS FC Machida Zelvia at Machida Athletic Stadium on November 3

This sec, Veteran players such as Akamine and Iwamasa were back in the starting line-up. A defensive midfielder, Watanabe did not appear because he was listed on an injury list. Instead of him, Sekido played as a starter. While, Machida's key player, Nakajima played as a starter.


Four minutes after the kickoff, A corner kick was given to Okayama. An experienced striker, Ito provided a cross with a young attacker, Katayama, but Katayama headed off. Three minutes later, Ito provided another cross with a young defender, Shinohara, but Shinohara was not able to grasp the chance. Later, more chances belonged to the rival. In 26th minute, Shinohara accidentally took an own goal. In 36th minute, Katayama made an excellent equalizer, assisted by a young playmaker, Yajima. Five minutes later, Ito's shot was blocked by the opponent's goal keeper. The first period ended in a tie. 


After the interval, Okayama took the initiative. In 2nd minute, Akamine tried to add a second, provided by Yajima. Right after that,a free kick was given to Fagiano and Shinohara took a
header, crossed by Ito. Three minutes later, Oshitani took a mid-range shot.In 10th minute,  Akamine took a header. Six minutes later, Shinohara took another heading, but both didn't work well. In 27th minute, an attacker, Mimura came off and three minutes later, Oshitani was replaced by an young attacker, Toyokawa to change the game. In 35th minute, Toyokawa failed to receive the ball from Yajima. Five minutes later, a rookie forward, Fujimoto was sent onto the pitch. During the added time, Yajima failed to finalize the match with his mid-range shot. Afterward, Okayama were not able to make a clincher. The match ended in a tie.
 

JFL Match Review 13th Sec (2nd) : VS Verspah OITA on October 29

At 12th sec of the first stage, during the match, Fagiano aggressively kept attacking to try to dominate the game. In 12th minute, a young striker, Ishikawa stroke an opener. After the interval, a midfield player, Chibu added a second decisive. As a result, Okayama successfully made a victory for the first time this season.


During the match, more chance belonged to Fagiano. In 20th minute, a young attacker, Fujioka stroke an excellent opener, encouraging his teammates. During the added time, Ishikawa added a second, however, afterward, the game was shockingly equalized by the rival. As a result, the match ended in a tie. 


At next sec, Okayama meet Sony Sendai FC. Sendai is one of the powerful clubs in the league, however, Next are expected to defeat the rival for the first victory at the 2nd stage this season.

Match Preview 39th Sec : VS FC Machida Zelvia at Machida Athletic Stadium on November 3

On April 29, Five minutes after the kickoff, Oshitani successfully made an opener, but later, the game was equalized by Machida's forward, Nakajima. In 38th minute, a captain, Iwamasa headed a goal to encourage his team. After the interval, the visitors made counter attacks. In 59th minute, Machida's ace striker, Koji Suzuki netted an equalizer. The match ended in a tie.


The key player that Okayama are required to handle carefully is an experienced attacker, Nakajima. He has been almost ever-present this season. He has already scored 11 goals so far.


On October 30, Machida met Kamatamare Sanuki. During the match, even though more possession belonged to Machida, they couldn't make a game deciding-score. While, Sanuki's attacker, Kijima stroke a clincher, defeating Zelvia. 


During the first part of the season, Machida made a big breakthrough in the league. However, at the 27th sec, an ace striker, Koji SUZUKI got injured and he has been on an injurly list since then.

Match Review 38th Sec : VS Kyoto Sanga FC at Kyoto Nishikyogoku Athletic Park Stadium on October 30

This sec, two veteran men, Iwamasa and Akamine were suspended, therefore, a Korean defender, Kim Jin-kyu and a rookie striker, Fujimoto played as a starter. Match Preview 38th Sec : VS Kyoto Sanga FC at Kyoto Nishikyogoku Athletic Park Stadium on October 30

On March 13, the visitors had relatively more possession, but Okayama aggressively kept attacking. In 45th minute, a captain, Iwamasa took a header, but it was saved by Kyoto's goal keeper, Sugeno. In 50th minute, Sanga's Korean forward, LEE Yong Jae stroke an opener. In 66th minute, Ito successfully equalized the match. Later, Toyokawa netted a second. During the added time, the match was shockingly equalized, ending the game in a tie.


Sanga's key player is Sergio Escudero. He has constantly been on a pitch. This season, he has scored four goals so far. He is certainly the one to watch out for. Okayama's defenders are required to mark him carefully. 


On October 23, Kyoto met Mito Hollyhock in Mito. During the match, Kyoto struggled to dominate the game. In 76th minute, Sanga conceded an opening goal. During the added time, Kyoto made a dramatic equalizer, obtaining a point.


This term, Kyoto have been in a good form, aiming for the playoffs. The rival now stay in the 6th place. In order for Okayama to secure to advance to the playoffs, The club are required to defeat Sanga.

JFL Match Review 12th Sec (2nd) : VS Honda Rock SC on October 22

On May 22, Fagiano had a close match against Honda. In 24th minute, the rival netted an opener. Later, Fujioka successfully equalized the game with a penalty kick. However, at the end of the match, the game was shockingly finalized by Honda Rock's midfielder, Yamada. As a result, Next were defeated.



This sec, two minutes after the kickoff, Okayama conceded an opening goal. Later, more possesion belonged to Honda. A young attacker, Ishikawa tried to change the game. In 59th minute, the rival made a clincher. In 82th minute, a defender, Koki YAMASHITA was sent off. As a result, the red-uniformed men were beaten.



On October 29, Fagiano face Verspah OITA. This is the club's last match at their home stadium. Therefore, Next are highly expected to defeat the rival for the first victory of the second stage.

While, Okayama struggled to take the initiative of the match. In 10th minute, an attacker, Katayama tried to make a chance, but he was blocked by Noda.  In 22nd minute, a young playmaker, Yajima failed to make an opening goal with his mid-range shot. Right after that, a goal keeper, Nakabayashi showed an excellent saving. In 26th minute, Akamine tried to possess a ball in the box, it was offside. In 30th minute, Ito failed to provide a cross. Seven minutes later, Mimura were not able to grasp the chance with a free kick. In 40th minute, a veteran forward, Akamine almost found the net.  Three minutes later, a captain, Iwamasa was shockingly sent off.


Mimura was replaced by a Korean defender, Kim Jin-kyu. Four minute after the break, Yajima stroke a superb opener, encouraging his team. Later, Okayama's defenders a strong showing. In 57th minute, Sekido took a mid-range shot. Five minutes later, Toyokawa tried to add a second. In 75th minute, the game was equalized by the rival. In 83th minute, head coach, Nagasawa sent two men, Watanabe and Fujimoto onto the pitch to finalize the game. However, during the added time, Okayama conceded a clincher and were shockingly beaten by Kanazawa.

On June 20, Okayama had a close game against Kanazawa. During the first half, Fagiano struggled to score a goal. Right after the break, Kanazawa's forward, Yamazaki smashed an opener. In 70th minute, Oshitani made an equalizer with a penalty kick. After that, Okayama were not able to finalize the match.



This June, Zweigen acquired a Brazilian attacker, David to reinforce the club's attacking strength. He has been almost ever-present since he joined the club. He can be viewed as a threat. Okayama's denfenders are required to mark him with an extra care.



At the 36th sec, Kanazawa were disappointedly defeated by Shimizu S-Pulse. During the match, more possession belonged to Shimizu. Kanazawa conceded three goals, while, they couldn't get any scores.
 


This season, Zweigen have struggled around the bottom of the league. Their priority is to remain in this campaign next year so that the rival are highly motivated to obtain points. The match is expected to be very tough.

JFL Match Review 11th Sec (2nd) : VS Ryutsu Keizai University FC on October 16

On April 10, Okayama were defeated by Ryutsu 1 - 2. After the kickoff, Fagiano's defenders made a strong showing. Therefore, the first period ended in a scoreless tie. Four minutes after the interval, a young attacker, Ishikawa stroke a memorable opener. However, Ryutsu came from behind and won the game.



During the match, Fagiano struggled to take the initiative of the match. In 7th minute, the red uniformed men conceded a goal. After the break, a young forward, Ishikawa came off the bench to change the game, but in 56th minute, a defender, Yuki TANAKA was sent off and a penalty kick was given to the rival. The opponent added a second. Afterwards, Next were not able to equalize the match.



At next sec, Okayama meet Honda Rock SC. Honda Rock made a solid victory against ReinMeer Aomori at 11th sec. Honda have been in a good form now with five straight victories therefore, 12th sec is expected to be very tough for Okayama.

Furthermore, an experienced attacker, Akiyoshi stood by as a substitute.


After the kickoff, Okayama tried to go forward aggressively. In 5th minute, Fujimoto were not able to take a shot in the box. Later, he tried to keep pressuring against the rival. In 15th minute, a captain, Iwamasa failed to take a header, provided by Katayama. In 21st minute, a veteran forward, Akamine missed a chance for an opening goal. Afterward, the rival's Fujimoto got injured and he was replaced by Moniwa. In 29th minute, Yajima failed to provide a pass with Fujimoto. In 37th minute, the opponent's attacker, Souza made an opener. Four minutes later, Fujimoto tried to change the game.In 43th minute, a playmaker,Sekido made a superb equalizer, assisted by Akamine. One minute later, Ito took a mid-range shot. The first half ended in a tie.


Three minutes after the break, Fujimoto tried to move toward the box. Two minutes later, Yajima took a shot, but it was blocked by the rival.In 51st minute, Iwamasa headed off. In 54th minute, Fujimoto failed to provide a cross with his teammates. Five minutes later, Tanaka came in to change the game. In 61st minute, Iwamasa took anther header, but he couldn't smash the net. In 68th minute, a young attacker, Toyokawa came off the bench. In 84th minute, Fujimoto tried to make a chance. Right after that, he was replaced by a Korean defender, Kim Jin-kyu. During the added time, Toyokawa was not able to take a shot, blocked Souza.Right before the end of the game, a goal keeper, Nakabayashi showed an excellent saving. As a result, Okayama missed the chance to get closer to the rival.

Match Preview 36th Sec : VS Cerezo Osaka at City Light Stadium on October 16

On May 28, during the match, in 13th minute, Toyokawa smashed an excellent opener, making a good start. However, in 31st minute, Cerezo's attacker, Kiyohara equalized the game. After the break, an ace attacker, Oshitani came off the bench to play as a chance-taker. Later, Osaka's young mid fielder, Yamamura found the net, securing their victory.


Former international, Tamada can be viewed as a threat. Even though he has scored only two goals this term, but his total score for the last season is ten. Okayama's defenders are required to mark him with an extra care.


At last sec, Osaka met FC Gifu. During the first half, more chances belonged to Cerezo. Yamamura, Sugimoto and Tamada scored goals respectively. After the break, Gifu stroke two goals, trying to equalize the match. Later, Osaka successfully defeated the visitors. 


This term, Cerezo have been in a difficult situation with some injured players. An ace attacker, Kakitani has still been in an injury list. Furthermore, the club's top scorer, Sugimoto got injured weeks ago. Sugimoto has already been back,but the ace striker is not able to appear this sec.

At Kashima Soccer Stadium on September 22

This stadium is exclusively designed for football.  At the stadium, some of matches of FIFA World Cup 2012 took place.

Unfortunately, during the match, it was raining heavily, so it was easy for fans to get wet because the site was not all covered by roof.

The total attendance was 5,291 because of bad weather. The stadium can accommodate 40,728.

It was very impressive for me to watch the match at this stadium. I hope that Fagiano Okayama get promoted to the division 1 so that I can come here again next year.

After the kickoff, Okayama struggled to attack aggressively. In 5th minute, an attacker, Ito tried to provide a cross. Eight minutes later, a captain, Iwamasa missed a chance to take a header. In 19th minute, a defensive midfield player, Watanabe got a yellow card. In 24th minute, Oshitani failed to provide a good cross. Four minutes later, an ace striker, Oshitani was not able to srike an opening goal with his mid-range shot. Later, the red-uniformed men made a strong showing and successfully kept a clean sheet against the rival. The first period ended in a scoreless tie.

After the interval, in 52th minute, Watanabe got a second yellow card and he was disappointedly sent off. Later, more chances belonged to the opponent. In 60th minute, a goal keeper, Nakabayashi blocked Ishihara's shot. Two minutes later, the rival's attacker, Kudo made an opener, encouraging his teammates.In 76th minute, Nagasawa sent three fresh players at the same time, a Korean defender, Kim and two young attackers Fujimoto and Toyokawa to change the game. In 79th minute, Toyokawa failed to equalize the match.Three minutes later, a young attacker,Katayama were not able to grasp the chance. In 87th minute, a young playmaker, Yajima smashed an excellent equalizer. As a result, the match ended in a tie. 

Match Preview 35th Sec : VS Matsumoto Yamaga FC at Matsumotodaira Football Stadium on October 8

At 18th sec, After the kickoff, both team struggled to take initiative of the match.  During the added time of the first half, a young playmaker, Yajima scored an opening goal with a penalty kick. after the interval, in 56th minute, Sawaguchi added a second with his header. In 68th minute, a young attacker, Toyokawa came off the bench to finalize the match, but five minutes later, Yamaga's ace attacker, Takasaki netted a goal. Afterwards, no goal was scored. 

Former Fagiano's men such as Kiyama, Goto and Ishihara have constantly been on a pitch therefore, all are expected to appear as a starter. The three were listed in the starting line-up at the last sec as well. Former Mito Hollyhock's ace striker, Mishima joined the club this summer. He plays as a trump now.

On October 2, Matsumoto faced Kamatamare Sanuki. The match was literally heated. In 7th minute, Matsumoto's attacker, Kudo equalized the game. Seven minutes later, an ace forward, Takasaki added a second. Later, a defender, Iida smashed a third, taking the initiative. Right before the break, Sanuki scored a goal, trying to change the game, but during the second period, Kudo made a clincher.

This sec is one of the most important matches for Okayama this season. In order to finish within top two. Nagasawa's men are required to beat Matsumoto in the 2nd place of the league now.  　

Emperor's cup 2016:The club were eliminated from the tournament

On September 22, Okayama lost the third match against the division 1 seven-time champion. According to the news reports, the total attendance was 5,291.


This match, the starting line-up was fresh, compared with the one for the division 2 league. Former Kashima Antlers's man, Toyokawa was listed as a starter. However, another Kashima's legend, Iwamasa was not listed for this match. 


During the first half, Okayama's defenders performed solidly to keep a clean sheet against the powerful club. Toyokawa fought aggressively to make a giant-killing. In 22nd minute, a rookie
attacker, Fujimoto stroke an excellent opening goal.


After the break, the rival aggressively tried to change the game. In 60th minute, the opponent's playmaker, Nagaki stroke an equalizer, encouraging his team. While Fagiano struggled to break down a disciplined Antlers's men.Late in the game, midfield player, Tanaka accidentally made an own goal. As a result, were eliminated at the third round.

During the training before this sec, a veteran defender, Kaji got injured so that he didn't appear this time. A young attacker, Katayama played as a starter. Another young attacker, Sakai was listed as a substitute.

After the kickoff, more possessions belonged to Okayama. In 4th minute, an attacker, Ito made a superb opening goal, bringing forces to his team. In 10th minute, an ace striker, Oshitani added a nice second, assisted by a veteran forward, Akamine. Three minutes later, a penalty kick was given to the red-uniformed men. Oshitani made a third. In 18th minute, Akamine almost added a fourth with his header. In 30th minute, the rival's forward, Namba's
shot hit the post. In 40th minute, Ito tried to add a goal with his free kick.

After the break, the opponent aggressively tried to move toward Fagiano's side. Nagasawa's defenders made a strong showing, trying to keep a clean sheet against the rival. In 63th minute, a young attacker, Toyokawa came off the bench. He tried to be more aggressive to make a clincher.In 68th minute, a goal keeper, Nakabayashi showed a good blocking. Three minutes later, Toyokawa found the net. In 75th minute, Akamine got injured, replaced by a rookie forward, Fujimoto. Seven minutes later, Toyokawa stroke another excellent goal, provided by Ito. In 85th minute, Nakabayashi showed a beautiful saving. As a result,
Okayama successfully defeated Gifu. 

Match Preview 34th Sec : VS FC Gifu at Gifu Memorial Center Nagaragawa Stadium on October 2

On May 15, during the match, Okayama actively kept attacking against Gifu. Four minutes after the kickoff, Akamine head off. Later, Oshitani stroke a nice shot, but they were not able to grasp the chances. While, after the break, Gifu's attacker, Evandro netted an opener with a penalty kick. Later, Okayama failed to equalize the game.
 


Gifu's head coach, RAMOS Ruy left the club this July due to the club's poor performance. New head coach, Yoshida now tries to lead his team to remain in the division 2. A Brazilian attacker, Evandro is physically strong, therefore, Fagiano's defenders are required to mark him with an extra care.



On September 25, FC Gifu faced Renofa Yamaguchi FC. During the match, Gifu's attackers including Evandro scored three goals, taking the initiative of the match. However, later, Yamaguchi scored two goals one after another, trying to equalize the game. As a result, Gifu successfully defeated Renofa.



Gifu's priority is to remain in the division 2. Okayama haven't been struggling to score goals in the recent games. Therefore, the match is expected to be very tough.

JFL Match Review 10th Sec (2nd) : VS Tochigi UVA FC on September 25

On April 17, Fagiano met Tochigi at City Light Stadium. During the match, more chances belonged to the visitors. In 14th minute, Tochigi netted an opener and before the break, they added a goal. Next were mostly forced to play on their territory. In 58th minute,
the match was finalized by the Tochigi.  

During the match, more chances comfortably belonged to Tochigi. Two minutes after the kickoff, the rival made an opener with a penalty and after that, the opponent added two goals, one after another. After the interval, a Korean goal keeper, LEE Kyung-Tae was sent off. Two minutes later, Tochigi stroke a clincher, securing their victory.

At 10th sec, Fagiano face Ryutsu Keizai University FC. Ryutsu now stay in the 3rd place of the league with 47 points. Therefore, the match is expected to be very tough. Next are required to perform aggressively.

After the kickoff, the rival aggressively tried to go on an offensive. In 5th minute, Kajikawa and Nagai made a good chance. In 10th minute, a veteran forward, Akamine failed to grasp a chance, provided by an ace attacker, Oshitani. In 21th minute, Akamine smashed the net, but unfortunately it was offside. Two minutes later, Sawaguchi failed to provide a cross with his teammates in the box. In 31th minute, a young playmaker, Yajima tried to pass a ball to Oshitani, but it was offside again. Five minutes later, Sawaguchi's cross was blocked by the rival's defender. In 43th minute, Oshitani took a shot. An attacker, Ito failed to make an opener with a free kick.

One minute after the interval, a goal keeper, Nakabayashi showed a superb saving. A minute later, Yajima took a shot, but it was blocked. In 4th minute, Ito failed to provide a cross with a free kick. In 18th minute, a rookie attacker, Fujimoto came in to change the game. In 21th minute, Yajima failed to break the deadlock. In 26th minute, Akamine blazed over from distance. Two minutes later, Toyokawa came off the bench to finalize the match. Afterwards, more chances belonged to the opponent. In 39th minute, a young attacker, Katayama was sent onto the pitch. In 41th minute, an experienced defender, Takeda was not able to grasp the chance. On May 7, Okayama made a complete victory against Nagasaki. In 15th minute, an ace striker, Oshitani netted a memorable opener, encouraging his team. After the break, a captain, Iwamasa added a goal with an excellent heading. Later, an attacker, Katayama stroke a decisive third, securing Okayama's victory. Furthermore, red-uniformed club successfully kept a clean sheet. 



Nagasaki's top scorer is an ace striker, Nagai. He has already scored 14 goals so far. A playmaker, Kajikawa is also the one to watch out for. He is well-experienced and he used to play for Tokyo Verdy and Shonan Bellmare before. He has scored two goals so far this season.



At last sec, Nagasaki met Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo. During the match, Nagasaki made a strong showing against the powerful club. However, even though their attackers had several chances,
they couldn't get a game-deciding score. As a result, the match ended in a scoreless tie.

As of now, Nagasaki stay in the 13th place with 40 points. The club have almost no chance to advance to the playoffs. In order to chase the top two, Okayama are expected to defeat the rival.

JFL Match Review 9th Sec (2nd) : VS FC Osaka on September 17

On May 29th, Okayama made a stunning upset against Osaka. In 17th minute, the rival netted an opener with a penalty kick. Six minutes later, a defender,Yamashita equalized the game. In 36th minute, Osaka's captain, Iwamoto was sent off. Three minutes later, A young attacker, Fujioka smashed a decisive second, bringing a victory to Next.



This sec, 312 fans came to City Light Stadium. During the match, the red-uniformed men actively tried to take the initiative, but they couldn't get a game-deciding score. While, in 71th minute, the rival made a clincher with a penalty. As a result, Fagiano were disappointedly defeated.



At the next sec, Okayama play against Tochigi UVA FC. Next have not got any points after the second stage started, therefore, the team are expected to rise up to overturn the status quo.

In 20th minute, a young playmaker,Yajima took a long-range shot. In 28th minute, Iwamasa took another header, but he was not able to grasp the chance. Later, Ito almost found the net. In 42th minute, Oshitani showed a mid-range shot, but it was blocked by the rival's goal keeper. The first period ended in a scoreless tie. 　

Three minutes after the interval, A veteran forward, Akamine tried to take a header for an opener. Seven minutes later, he provided a cross with Oshitani, but the ace forward missed the chance. Afterwards, Okayama struggled to take the initiative. In 30th minute, a young attacker, Toyokawa came in to change the game. Former Fagiano's defender, Ueda has played as a main force so far this season. This defender is good with heading, therefore, Okayama's defenders are required to mark him carefully. An
ace attacker, Kiyotake has been almost ever-present this season. He has already scored nine goals so far. He can be viewed as a threat.


On September 11, Kumamoto met Ehime FC. During the match, two minutes after the kickoff, Ehime scored an opening goal. Later, Kumamoto made a desperate to equalize the game. In 81th minute, a veteran, Maki came off the bench, but Roasso failed to made an equalizer.


In order to chase the top two clubs, Okayama are required to defea

While, in 71st minute, a young attacker Kato netted a goal. However, Six minutes later, Vanraure made a clincher.
 

At 9th sec, Okayama face FC Osaka at City Light Stadium. Osaka now stay in the fourth place of the league. Okayama have no points at all since the second stage began so Next are expected to defeat the powerful club for their first victory.

This sec, veteran players such as Iwamasa, Kaji and Akamine were back in the starting line-up. They did not appear at Emperor's cup so that they were expected to perform well in a good condition. A young attacker, Toyokawa stood by as substitute to finalize the match. While, the rival's ace forward, Kishida was listed on the reserve list.  

Two minutes after the kickoff, a goal keeper, Nakabayashi showed a superb saving to encourage his team. In 6th minute, a young playmaker, Yajima failed to provide a ball with Akamine in the box. Later, more possesion belonged to the rival. In 15th minute, Nakabayashi made another good saving. Okayama struggled to take the inititative. In 28th minute, a defender, Takeda actively moved forward to change the game. In 37th minute, Oshitani tried to strike an opener. Two minutes later, nobody received Oshitani's cross. Later, Nakabayashi showed a brilliant saving. The first period ended in a scoreless tie.


Three minutes after the break, Oshitani took a shot. In 51st minute, a midfield player, Watanabe was not able to grasp the chance in the box. Four minutes later, Yajima tried to score a goal. In 58th minute, the captain,  Iwamasa took a header. Two minutes later, Watanabe had another chance, but he didn't make it. In 66th minute, Ito almost found the net. In 69th minute, Oshitani headed off. One minute later, a young attacker, Toyokawa was sent onto the pitch to finalize the match. In 72th minute, Nakabayashi made anther excellent saving. Three minutes later, Toyokawa tried to make a clincher. Later, two young attackers, Katayama and Fujimoto came off the bench. Three minutes later, Ito stroke a long-waited decisive, securing the club's victory.

Emperor's cup 2016 : The club successfully defeated Consadole Sapporo

On September 3, Okayama beated the rival in the division 2 league. According to the news report, the total attendance was 2,698.


The club's head coach, Nagasawa placed some fresh players in the starting line-up as well as the first round. A goal keeper, Shiina played as a starter. Two young attackers, Toyokawa and Fujimoto were listed as a starter. 


Four minutes after the kickoff, Toyokawa stroke a memorable opener, bringing forces to his team. Later, the club made a strong showing to keep a clean sheet against Sapporo in the first place of J league division 2.


After the interval, the club actively kept attacking. In 85th minute, an ace striker, Oshitani came off the bench to finalize the match. One minute later, Fujimoto added a second, securing the club's victory. Right before the end of the game, Okayama conceded a goal with the opponent's penalty. At next round, Fagiano face Kashima Antlers, division 1 club on September 22. 

Match Preview 31th Sec : VS Renofa Yamaguchi at City Light Stadium on September 11

At the opening match of this season, five minutes after the kickoff, Yamaguchi's a playmaker, Shimaya netted an excellent opener. While, Okayama struggled to take shots. Six minutes after the break, a young midfield player, Yajima stroke a brilliant equalizer. As a result, the match ended in a tie.


An ace forward, Kishida, who has played a main origin in Yamaguchi's attacking. He has already scored four goals so far. Okayama's defenders are required to mark him with an extra care. Former Fagiano's man, Okamoto joined the club on a loan this summer.


At last sec, Renofa met Matsumoto Yamaga FC. During the match, Yamaguchi tried to dominate the game against the former division 1 club. Even though they had several chances, they couldn't get a game-deciding score. As a result, the match ended in a scoreless tie.


Currently, Renofa aim for the playoffs, staying in the 7th position. In order to chase the top two clubs,Fagiano are expected to defeat the rival at PRIDE OF CHUSHIKOKU derby match.

J League Division 3 2016:Gainare Tottori in a slump

Before this season, Gainare seemed to be one of the title hopefuls in this campaign as a former division 2 club. However, it is unexpected that the club have been hovering around the bottom as of the 20th sec.


This year, the team have revealed the lack of ability to score a goal even though they acquired several talented attackers such as Miyaichi from Shonan Bellmare and Kurodu from Yokohama FC. Recently, a Brazilan striker, VALCI JUNIOR joined the club. He is expected to reinforce their attacking strengths.


Unfortunately, this term, Tottori have almost no chance to get back to the division 2. Next month, the league is going to reopen, therefore the club are expected to rise up to chase the upper group.

Emperor's cup 2016 : Next lost at Inyo derby

On August 27, Next were disappointedly defeated by Gainare Tottori at the first round. Accordingly, 1,103 fans came to the stadium.


This match, the club's head coach, Makiuchi placed a young forward, Ishikawa in the starting line-up. He was expected to play as a chance-taker. While, the rival's Brazilian attacker, Fernandinho played as a starter.


During the match, the team revealed the lack of ability to win. Five minutes after the kickoff, the opponent's young striker, Miyaichi made an opener. 19minutes later, he added a second, bringing forces to his team.


After the break, the game remained the same. In 52th minute, Fernandinho found the net. Later, the rival added two goals, securing their victory. As a result, Next were eliminated at the first round.

Emperor's cup 2016 : The club face Consadole Sapporo at the second round

On August 27, Okayama successfully defeated Matsue City FC at the first round. According to the news report, the total attendance was 1,925.


The club's head coach, Nagasawa placed some fresh players in the starting line-up. A goal keeper, Shiina appeared for the first time this season. An experienced attacker, Akiyoshi was listed as starter. A young goalkeeper, Matsubara stood by as a substitute.


During the match, red-uniformed men mostly took the initiative. In 32nd minute, Akiyoshi stroke a memorable opener. However, three minutes later, the Nagasawa's men conceded an equalizer. In 40th minute, Akiyoshi added a second, bringing forces to Okayama.


After the break, in 75th minute, a rookie attacker, Fujimoto smashed the net. Five minutes later, a young attacker, Toyokawa scored a clincher, securing their victory. At the second round on September 3, Fagiano meet the rival of the division 2 league, Consadole Sapporo. 

Division 2 League is unpredictable

J League is going to be suspended for a few weeks because of Emeror's cup. After 30th sec, the ranking table is different from the season preview that I made.

Chugoku Regional League 2016:One of the title hopefuls have been in a slump

After 14th sec, one of the powerful clubs in this league, Dezzolla Shimane have been struggling in the 6th place with 20 points. Unfortunately, the club have almost no chance for the championship this season.


On the other hand, Matsue City FC have risen to the top. Matsue are expected to make a breakthrough in All Japan Regional Football Promotion League Series as well.


Two clubs, which got promoted from the lower league, have been hovering around the bottom of this campaign so far. Hatsukaichi FC and SC Tottori Dreams stay in the 8th place and the 10th place respectively out of 10 clubs. Their priority is certainly to avoid the demotion.


The league is going to reopen in September.

Emperor's cup 2016:The club meet Matsue City FC at the first round

The long-awaited Emperor's cup is coming up soon. It is known that the cup winner is qualified to AFC Champions League, which is the right every club desires. Since Fagiano belongs to the division 2 now, this is only chance for the club to obtain the spot.


This year, Okayama face Matsue City FC in Matsue on August 27th. The opponent belongs to Chugoku Regional League this year, therefore Okayama's head coach, Nagasawa is expected to place some fresh men in the starting line-up.


I personally expect the club to win the first two matches to meet seven-time division 1 champion, Kashima Antlers. A veteran, Iwamasa and a young striker, Toyokawa used to play for this powerful club before.

Emperor's cup 2016:Next go for Inyo Derby

On August 21, the qualifier of Emperor's Cup took place. Fagiano Okayama Next met IPU Kantaiheiyo University in the finals and successfully defeated the rival, 3 - 0.


During the match, Next mostly took the initiative. In 18th minute, the product of the club's academy, Chibu stroke an openening goal, bringing forces to his team. In 34th minute, a young attacker, Fujioka added a memorable second. After the break,  Okayama actively tried to finalize the game. In 63th minute, Fujioka made a clincher, securing their victory.


On August 27, at the first round of the Emperor's Cup, Fagiano Okayama Next face J League division 3 club, Gainare Tottori at Tottori Bird Stadium. This is also called Inyo Derby because Okayama and Tottori are based in Sanyo area and Sanin area of Chugoku region respectively.


Last year, the top team were beaten by Gainare at the first round of the Emperor's cup, therefore Next are expected to make an upset victory to avenge its defeat.

This sec, a young playmaker, Yajima was back from the Olympic Games. Two young attackers, Toyokawa and  Katayama were listed as a starter. They were expected to play as a chance-taker. While, Chiba's attacker, Nagasawa played as a starter.


After the kick off, the rival tried to dominate the match. In 8th minute, red-uniformed men were not able to grasp the chance with their corner kick.  In 9th minute, Chiba's attacker, Machida made an opening goal, bringing forces to his team. In 13rd minute, a goal keeper, Nakabayashi showed a superb saving. A minute later, Toyokawa tried to equalize the game. In 21th minute, Akamine missed to provide a cross. Later, Ito failed to make an equalizer. In 26th minute, Sekido took a shot. In 29th minute, Nakabayashi made another excellent saving.  In 35th minute, Yajima almost found the net with his mid-range shot. In 39th minute, Takeda missed a good chance. Later. Yajima took another mid-range shot.


After the kickoff, Okayama struggled to make chances. While, the rival actively tried to add a second. In 60th minute, Sakai came off the bench to change the game. Later, Toyokawa nearly netted a goal. In 67nd minute, Oshitani came in. Nakabayashi saved his team again, stopping Machida's shot. In 73th minute, a Chiba's Brazilian forward, Elton added a second. One minute later, Watanabe was sent off. In 79th minute, Nakabayashi showed a fine saving. Four minutes later, Yajima tried to score a goal. During the added time, Ito nearly scored a goal with a free kick. Later, Oshitani failed to strike a goal. As a result, Okayama were disappointedly defeated.
