The campaign finally restarted. Brazilian playmaker, Paulinho started the game. And also, Matsuki was on the starting line-up for the first time in his football carreer. An experienced attacker, Saito was back as a substitute from an injury list.



Three minutes after the kickoff, Ueda's free kick was taken care by the rival's goal keeper. In the 15th minute, the home club conceded an opener. Six minutes after that, winger, Tokumoto shot over the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Ueda tried to smash the net with his free kick. In the 37th minute, Popp William made a fine saving, encouraging his teammates.


Seven minutes after the break, the opponent added a second. In the 56th minute, a forward, Shimizu showed an excellent header. Right after that, he was replaced by veteran attacker, Akamine. In the 74th minute, Lee Yong-Jae equalized the game with his fantastic header. In the 86th minute, head coach, Arima sent two strikers such as Yamamoto and Saito to conclude the match, however they failed to find the net. The derby match ended in a tie.

Match Preview 2nd Sec : VS Renofa Yamaguchi at City Light Stadium on June 27



At last, J league division 2 restart. The club will be on a tight schedule this season. Renofa target to finish in top six this year as well as Okayama. This is PRIDE OF CHUSHIKOKU Derby for the first time in 2020 so that the game is expected to be heated even through it is crowdless game.


Before the new season, Yamaguchi signed some talented players such as Brazilian midfielder, Henik and veteran defender, Kikuchi. One of the key players is an attacker, Takai who has scored 8 goals in 38 appearances last year.
