2019: season in Chugoku Regional League is unpredictable

In 2019, it is expected that there will be fierce competition among several clubs aiming for the upper league.


2018 League champion, Matsue City FC, successfully made it to Japan Football League at the end of season, therefore the league is literally unpredictable.


Former JFL club, Mitsubishi Motors Mizushima FC can be the title favorite. The outfit show stable performance in recent years, the second in 2018, the first in 2017.


The champion left the league so that there will be more chances for the other clubs. Hatsukaichi FC are the ones who possibly compete for the top group of the league.

Start-up for 2019 season

On January 12, the club held a press conference for the upcoming season. Needless to say, the club's goal is to promote to the upper league. The new head coach, Arima is highly expected to take the outfit to the next stage.


Last year, Okayama ended up in the 15th place even though they made a good start at the beginning of the season.The red-uniformed club are highly expected to show stable performances throughout the year.


After the last season, the club made a deal with several talented players to reinforce their strengths even though some main forces left the club.

The club's transfer information #5 / 2018

The first new signing is defensive player, Hiroki. He has played for Renofa Yamaguchi for four years. Last year, he appeared at 11 matches in 2018. He is expected to ensure the solid defence for Okayama.


The club made a deal with Malaysian forward, Muhammad Hadi Fayyadh bin Abdul Razak. The 18 year-old attacker plays for U23 international. He is expected to improve the club's offensive strength.


The outfit signed with Brazilian attacker, LEO MINEIRO from Avispa Fukuoka. In 2018, he has scored four goals for Fukuoka. He is expected to become a firm fixture in the starting line-up


Young playmaker, Tsukagawa dicided not to extend his contract with Okayama and play for the promoted club, Matsumoto Yamaga FC in 2019.

The club's transfer information #4 / 2018

Korean midfield player, YOU Yong Hyeon joins Okayama. The 18-year old player is expected to make the team more competitive.


The club signed with Brazilian playmaker, Dener Pinheiro. The 23-year old is expected to lead the outfit to the upper league.


Okayama acquired talented defender, Tanaka from Cerezo Osaka. He also used to play for the 2018 champion of the division 1, Kawasaki Frontale. In addition, he has an experience as a player in Australia.

Fagiano Legend File No. 5 : Ryusuke SENO




He joined Okayama after graduating from Osaka Gakuin university in 2008 when the club belonged to JFL. He is from Okayama city so that he was one of the most popular players in the club's history and he was like a local hero in Okayama.


He played mainly as both wing-backs. His total score in his career is 10 goals in 112 appearances in the division 2 and 3 goals in 32 appearances in JFL. He often played the role to change the game.


In 2011, he took off his shoes because of his injury but he came back to the pitch two years later. In 2015, he gave up his football career at the end of the season. He now works at the club's academy.

The club's transfer information #3 / 2018

The club's product, Kato, who played for Okoshiyasu Kyoto in Kansai Regional League on a loan this term, won't play for Okayama next year. He was the only one from the club's academy.


Young goal keeper, Nitadori, who played for Roasso Kumamoto on a loan this season, leaves Okayama. He struggled becoming a firm fixture in the club's member list. He is going to play Iwaki FC in Tohoku Rigional League next year.


Young centre back, Kubo decided to take off his shoes after his three-year service for Okayama. In his career, he constantly suffered from his injury.


Young forward, Fujimoto leaves for Ehime FC in the division 2. In 2018, He played for Ehime on a loan and scored three goals.
