Match Review 10th Sec : VS Shonan Bellmare at City Light Stadium on April 29

This match, a young attacker, Tsukagawa was back in the starting line-up, instead of an experienced attacker, Ito. Three men such as Sawaguchi, Ishige and Otake were back on the reserve list. A young striker, Toyokawa was not listed for this sec.


Three minutes after the kickoff, a defender, Shinohara's header misfired, provided by a Korean midfield player, PARK Hyong-Jin. In the 9th minute, a young goal keeper, Kushibiki showed a good saving. Six minutes later, a young attacker, Fujimoto swerved a shot. Afterwards, the home club disappointedly conceded an opening goal. Later, Okayama struggled to have possession. In the 40th minute, a captain, Kiyama failed to provide a cross. Right before the break, Fujimoto missed a chance with his header.


After the break, the red-uniformed men struggled to change the game. In the 56th minute, the club's head coach, Nagasawa decided to send two attackers, Mimura and Otake to the picth. Right after that, a young attacker, Katayama was not able to take a shot in the box. In the 66th minute, Mimura's attempt

Match Preview 10th Sec : VS Shonan Bellmare at City Light Stadium on April 29

Last season, Shonan struggled around the bottom of the division 1 league and failed to remain in the league. It seems that the club are one of the title hopefuls in the lower league this term, therefore, Okayama are expected to defeat the rival for their promotion.


Before this season, an experienced goal keeper, Akimoto came back to Shonan and also, a young attacker, Miyaichi was back to reinforce the club's offensive strength. The rival has been in a good shape so that the match is expected to be very tough.


On April 23, Shonan faced Oita Trinita at their home stadium. Right after the kickoff, Bellmare conceded an opening goal. Later, they aggressively pushed forward to equalize the game, but they missed a big opportunity to take the top in the division 2.

Match Review 9th Sec : VS Montedio Yamagata at City Light Stadium on April 23

This match, a young attacker, Fujimoto was back in the starting line-up. A Korean defender, JANG Suk-Won was listed on the reserve list for the first time this term. A young striker, Toyokawa stood by as a substitute. He was expected to finalize the match.


Three minutes after the kickoff, a captain, Kiyama made a superb opening goal, bringing forces to his teammates. In the 11th minute, a young attacker, Katayama stroke a shot, but it was denied by Yamagata's goal keeper, Kodama. Later, a young attacker, Fujimoto tried to create chances. In the 26th minute, a young goal keeper, Kushibiki made a fine saving. In the 34th minute, an experienced midfield player, Ito failed to provide a pass with his free kick. Eight minutes later, a legend, Kaji was not able to grasp the chance, passed by a defensive midfielder, Watanabe.


After the break, Ito was replaced by a rookie attacker, Tsukagawa. In the 52nd minute, the red-uniformed men added a second with the rival's own goal. Two minutes later, Katayama almost scored a third. Afterwards, Okayama struggled to possess a ball. In the 71st minute, an attacker, Mimura came off the bench to change the game, but in the 76th minute, Nagasawa's men conceded a goal. Three minutes later, Mimura's shot misfired. In the 84th minute, Tsukagawa failed to provide a through pass. A minute later, an experienced defender, Takeda came to ensure the club's victory. Finally, Okayama successfully defeated the visitors.

Match Preview 9th Sec : VS Montedio Yamagata at City Light Stadium on April 23

Last year, Yamagata struggled to chase the top group of the league and failed to advance to the playoffs, ending up in the 14th place. This former division 1 club aim for the upper league since the team have reformed a lot.


Former Ehime's head coach, Kiyama came to Yamagata with some of his men from Ehime such as two forwards, Senuma, Sakano, a goal keeper, Kodama and a defender, Motegi. Therefore, it is obvious that the team are different from the last year.


At the last sec, Yamagata struggled to take the initiative of the match against Tokyo Verdy. However, in the 67th minute, the club's midfield player, Yuruki made an opening goal, bringing forces to his team. Later, they successfully kept a clean sheet.

Match Review 8th Sec : VS Kamatamare Sanuki at Pikara Stadium on April 16

This sec, a young goal keeper, Kushibiki was back in the starting line-up. A young striker, Fujimoto and a midfield player, Tanaka were back from an injury list. While, former Fagiano goal keeper, Matsubara was not listed for this derby.


Seven minutes after the kickoff, a rookie attacker, Tsukagawa missed a chance, passed by an experienced midfield player, Watanabe. In the 16th minute, a young forward, Katayama failed to receive a ball from a legend, Kaji. In the 33rd minute, Katayama stroke a shot in the box, but it was blocked. In the 41st minute, Ito's corner kick was denied by the opponent. Three minutes later, the red-uniformed men had another corner kick, but they were not able to grasp the chance. The first half ended in a scoreless tie. 


Five minutes after the break, Tsukagawa took a shot in the box, but Sanuki's goalkeeper, Shimizu showed a nice saving. In the 55th minute, Katayama failed to make an opening goal with his header. Four minutes later, his another header misfired. In the 64th minute, an experienced attacker, Ito stroke an excellent goal, encouraging his teammates. Three minutes later, Tsukagawa was replaced by an attacker, Mimura. Afterwards, Okayama struggled to push forward. In the 77th minute, a defender, Kondo came off the bench. but in the 85th minute, the game was equalized by the rival. After that, Fagiano were not able to make a clincher, as a result, the match ended in a tie. Okayama now struggle in the 16th place with 9 points.

Match Preview 8th Sec : VS Kamatamare Sanuki at Pikara Stadium on April 16

This is Seto Great Bridge Derby, therefore, the match is expected to be heated with lots of fans. The rival aim for the playoffs this term even though they struggled around the bottom of the league last year.


This year, the club made a deal with Giravanz Kitakyushu's ace forward, Hara. He has scored 16 goals with 33 appearances. He is expected to enhance the club's offensive strength. In addition, former Fagiano's goal keeper, Matsubara joined the club as well.


On April 8, Sanuki were defeated by powerful club, Nagoya Grampus even though the blue-uniformed men made a strong showing. In the 69th minute, a defender, Nishi successfully equalized the game, but before the end of the match, the club conceded a clinch.

Match Review 7th Sec : VS Zweigen Kanazawa at City Light Stadium on April 8

This match, an experienced defensive midfield player, Watanabe was back in the starting line-up. A rookie attacker, Tsukagawa played as a starter as well as the last sec. While, former Fagiano defender, Noda was listed as a starter. 


During the first half, Okayama struggled to take the initiative of the game. In the 3rd minute, Tsukagawa tried to make an opener, provided by an attacker, Katayama. In the 18th minute, a defender, Shinohara's header misfired. Six minutes later, an striker, Ito stroke a shot, passed by a legend, Kaji. Two minutes later, a goal keeper, Ichimori showed a fine saving to encourage his teammates. In the 30th minute, Tsukagawa had another chance, but he was not able to grasp it. Three minutes later, a Korean midfield player, PARK Hyong-Jin failed to give a lead to his team. The first period ended in a scoreless tie.


Three minutes after the break, Shinohara was not able to grasp the chance for an opening goal. Five minutes later, Tsukagawa failed to provide a through pass. Afterwards, he was replaced by a young attacker, Toyokawa. In the 69th minute, Okayama's free kick didn't work out. Four minutes later, a playmaker, Otake came off the bench to change the game. A minute later, a captain, Kiyama failed to score a goal. In the 85th minute, an attacker, Mimura came in to finalize the game. During the added time, Otake swerved a shot. Match Preview 7th Sec : VS Zweigen Kanazawa at City Light Stadium on April 8

In 2016, Zweigen ended up in the 21st place and barely made it to remain in the division 2, defeating Tochigi SC, the 2nd place in the division 3 league. Their priority this term is to remain in this league.


This year, club made an agreement with former Albirex Niigata's head coach, Yanagishita. He is expected to lead the club to the mid group of the league. The club's key player is a veteran forward, Yamazaki. He has scored seven goals last season with 38 appearances.


At the last sec, Kanazawa made the first victory against Thespakusatsu Gunma. After the break, a midfield player, Nakami gave Kanazawa a two-goal advantage. While, Zweigen's defenders including former Fagiano's man, Noda, made a strong showing to keep a clean sheet.

This sec, the club's head coach, Nagasawa placed a veteran defender, Takeda in the starting line-up. A young attacker, Katayama was back as a starter from an injury list. A rookie attacker, Tsukagawa played as a starter for the first time in his career.


After the kickoff, Okayama aggressively pushed forward to take the initiative. In the 10th minute, Katayama tried to make an opener, but it was denied by the rival's goalkeeper. Seven minutes later, Tsukagawa almost found the net. In the 22nd minute, PARK Hyong-Jin's free kick was saved by the opponent. Five minutes later, Katayama failed to provide a cross. In the 31st minute, a defender, Shinohara took a header. Seven minutes later, an experienced attacker, Otake tried to make an opening goal. In the 44th minute, he was not able to grasp the chance, provided by an attacker, Ito. The first period ended in a scoreless tie.


Two minutes after the break, Ito's free kick was denied. One minute later, a captain, Kiyama took a header, but it was cleared.
