Gainare Tottori:Revival from slump

In 2018, Tottori made a strong showing. The outfit had competed for the promotion throughout the season and finished in the 3rd position even though the club's head coach, Morioka was dismissed during the term.


During the season, three Brazilian attackers such as Fernandinho, Vitor Gabriel and Leonardo made a great contribution for their breakthrough.


In 2019, the club seem to target the ticket for the upper league therefore it is essential to keep those three Brazilians and enhance their defensive strength.

The club's transfer information #2 / 2018

Veteran defender, Sawaguchi walks away from Okayama. He joined the outfit in 2009, the first year of the division 2 for Fagiano. He was the old identity.


Experienced attacker, Otake won't play for the red-uniformed men next year. He has struggled fitting to the club's tactics since he came to Okayama.


Experienced playmaker, Sueyoshi leaves the team. He struggled becoming a firm fixture in the starting line-up.


The contract with Brazilian target man, Ricardo Santos was expired. He signed with the club after the opening of 2018 season. He was expected to enhance the club's attacking strength, but he scored no goal this term.

Matsue City FC:To Japan Football League next year

The champion of Chugoku Regional League 2018 secured the promotion for Japan Football League, capturing the victory of Japan Regional Football Champions League 2018.


Their long-waited dream finally came true. Matsue city must be full of joy.


Shimane prefecture is the only one in Chugoku region without J League club. In order to get the ticket for the J League division 3, the outfit are required to reinforce themselves.

The club's transfer information #1 / 2018

After the end of the regular season, Fagiano have started reorganizing the club. As of now, the outfit already announced that some of the players leave Okayama.


Firstly, the head coach, Nagasawa leaves after four year management. In 2016, he led the club to the playoffs for the upper league, which was their best performance in their history.


The club's new signing, Matsuki is expected to enhance the club's attacking. He is the graduate of Keio university.


An experienced attacker, Ito leaves Okayama. He has 27 appearances this season. He was one of the members who made the contribution to advance to the playoffs in 2016.

Renofa Yamaguchi achieved a good result

The club's new head coach, Shimoda reformed his team dramatically from the last year's slump. During the first half of the season, the club constantly stayed within top six.


Their attacking strength was incredible. Their total score this season was 63 goals. Young striker, ONAIWU Ado made a breakthrough, scoring 22 goals. He joined the outfit before this term on a loan from the division 1 club, Urawa Reds.


Except for this goal scoring machine, Yamaguchi have some talented attackers such as Kishida, Takagi, Takai and Miyuki. While, they conceded 64 goals in 2018, therefore, it is obvious that their defensive strength must be enhanced.

2018 Season Review: Failure again to the promotion

Finally 2018 season ended. Fagiano Okayama finished at the 15th position with 53 points out of 22 clubs. The club failed to advance to the playoffs, which was disappointed.


This spring, the red-uniform men were in a good shape and kept the top in the league, however, they started
dropping points easily after Korean forward, Lee Yong-Jae got injured.


During the season, several main forces got injured and missed some matches. Especially, Lee Yong-Jae's absence damaged the team heavily. After the opening of the term, Okayama acquired a few players, but except for Korean poacher,JEONG Chung-Geun, they were not able to change the team dramatically.


This term, the club struggled to defeat some powerful clubs like former the division 1 clubs. In order to secure the ticket to the upper league in 2019, the club must be reinforced more. Okayama are expected to
acquire new talented players.

2018 Season Review:Steady Defensive strength

This year, Fagiano built a sense of stability. The number of conceded goal was 43, better than the last year, 49 goals. It was obvious that the club made it to the 15th place because of the solid in their defence.


Last year, several defenders such as Shinohara and Takeda left the club. While, the club signed with several tall centre backs such as Hamada, Goto and Masuda.


During the season, those new signings proved with quality even though they missed some of matches because their injuries. Next term, they are expected to appear more constantly without injuries.


Okayama's goal keepers this year were very competitive. Ichimori and Kanayama alternately played the game and constantly showed lots of superb savings this season.
