On May 4th, Okayama defeated the rival at City Light Stadium. In the 18th minute, TIAGO's strike was ballooned over the bar. In the 29th minute, he missed the chance to open the score. In the 43th minute,TIAGO found the net with his superb shot. After the break, Okayama aggressively kept pushing forward. In the 54th minute, Han added a second with his excellent strike. In the 89th minute, the home club conceded a goal. Afterwards, they successfully avoided Mito's equalizer.


An experienced side back, Kawano must be highly motivated against his former club. His crosses can be the ones to make a victory over Mito.

Nine minutes after the kickoff, Hotta made a fine saving. In the 17th minute, Kawano almost smash the net. In the 21st minute, Hotta saved his team, blocking the opponent's attempt. In the 27th minute, Tiago showed a long-range shot, but it was denied by Ryukyu's keeper. In the 30th minute, Han tried to open the score. Six minutes later, Tiago missed the chance for an opener. In the 39th minute, Hotta made another superb saving. The first half ended in a scoreless tie.


Shirai was replaced by Duke right after the break, Two minutes later, he almost found the net. In the 53rd minute, Hotta made a good saving. In the 62nd minute, Miyazaki came off the bench to change the game. In the 68th minute, Kawano entered Ryukyu's box and tried to score a goal. In the 81th minute, Kawano missed the chance to take a lead. During the added time, Miyazaki stroke an excellent clincher, bringing three points to his club.

Okayama visited Ryukyu on April 9th. In the 22nd minute, Okayama conceded an opening goal. Six minutes later, the rival added a second. Right before the break, Shirai smash the net with his superb strike. In the 59th minute, Stefan Mauk successfully equalized the game with his excellent shot. In the 70th minute, Duke clinched the game with his header. However, Right before the end of the match, the game was equalized by the opponent. The match ended in a tie.


Former Ryuyu side back, Tokumoto must be highly motivated against Ryukyu. In order for Okayama to join the promotion race, they are required to obtain three points.

This is the last match of the first half in this season and also PRIDE OF CHUSHIKOKU DERBY. This sec, head coach, Kiyama placed the same starting line-up as the last sec.


Five minutes after the kickoff, Hotta made a fine saving. Three minutes later, he showed anther good saving. In the 19th minute, Yanaga was not able to open the score. Right after that, Mauk's attmpt was off target. In the 28th minute, Tiago nearly made an opener. Afterwards, the visitors aggressively kept pushing forward. In the 37th minute, Tiago smash the net with his excellent strike.  


After the break, Okayama struggled to stop the rival's attacking. In the 62nd minute, Hotta saved his team with his fine blocking. Six minutes later, Miyazaki was on for Tiago. In the 79th minute, Hotta made another good saving. In the 80th minute, Kawai and Shirai came off the bench to clinch the game. In the 88th minute, Shirai almost doubled their lead. Later, the red-uniformed men successfully kept a clean sheet.

This is PRIDE OF CHUSHIKOKU DERBY and the last match for the first half of the season. It is expected that there will be lots of Okayama fans visiting Yamaguchi and the match will be highly heated.


One of Yamaguchi's key players is Yamase. This veteran has been constantly present so far this season. His experiences help his club a lot.

This sec, Duke was not listed for this match due to his international call. Instead, Han and Tiago ALVES were back as a starter. Tokumoto was back on the reserve list from an injury list.  


After the kickoff, the home club aggressively kept pushing forward. In the 6th minute, Motoyama smash the net with his superb header, crossed by Kawano. Four minutes later, Yanagi doubled their lead with his fantastic header. In the 12th minute, a penalty was given to Kiyama's men. Tiago failed to added a third. In the 26th minute, Kanazawa scored a goal. In the 34th minute, Mauk smash the net with his excellent strike. Five minutes later, Han made a clincher. Right before the break, a penalty was given to Okayama again and this time, Tiago grasped the chance.


Nine minutes after the interval, Hotta showed a fine saving. In the 62nd minute, nobody was not able to receive Kawano's free kick. In the 69th minute, Tiago was replaced by Kawamoto. Four minutes later, Tanaka's attempt was saved by Kanazawa's keeper. In the 84th minute, Naruse failed to provide a cross with his teammates in the rival's box. Right after that, Tokumoto and Sekido came off the bench. During the added time, Miyazaki's attempt was off target.

Emperor's cup 2022:The club failed to advance to the next round

On June 1st, Okayama host the rival in the division 2, Tochigi SC at City Light Stadium. This match, some fresh players were placed in the starting line-up such as veteran centre back, Hamada and rookie midfield player, Sugiyama.


During the match, Okayama aggressively kept pushing forward. However, they struggled to take a control of the game and create goal-scoring chances.


After the break, head coach, Kiyama sent Brazilian attacker, Tiago ALVES onto the pitch to change the game, but, the game remained the same. At the end of the game, the home club conceded a clincher. As a result, Okayama lost the ticket to the next round.

Match Preview 20th Sec : VS Zweigen Kanazawa at City Light Stadium on June 4

In 2021, Kanazawa finished in the 17th place. This year, they try to join the playoff race. The club signed with some talented players before the season.
 

One of their key players is Toyoda. This legendary forward is good with heading so that Okayama have to avoid the opponent's set pieces as much as possible.
