The club's transfer information #6 / 2016

A defender, Miyagawa made a deal with the club before this season. He came from KOCHI U TORASTAR FC in Shikoku Regional League.


Another defender, Yasuaki YAMASHITA came to Okayama form Kanazawa Seiryo University before this season. He constantly appreared during the season.


A young defender, Koki YAMASHITA joined the club from Kochi University. He made it at the tryout of the club before this term.


The club made a new agreement with a young midfield player, Takeda. He had played for Kanagawa university as the first choice player for four years. He is expected to play as a playmaker next
term.


A young defender, Tsukagawa will play for the team next year. He mainly plays as a centre back, in addition, he can do as a defensive midfield player. He is expected to reinforce the club's defense.

The club's transfer information #5 / 2016

An experienced attacker, Okamoto made a tranfer contract with Renofa Yamaguchi. Last term, he played on a loan for Yamaguchi. 





Okayama made a deal with the first choice goal keeper in Renofa Yamaguchi, Ichimori. He is expected to cover for an experienced keeper, Nakabayashi. He made 30 appearances in 2016.





The club's ace attacker, Oshitani leaves for the powerful club, Nagoya Grampus. Last season, he scored 14 goals as a chance-taker. He will be missed by the fans.





A young attacker, Sakai will not play for Okayama in 2017. He joined the club on a loan from Albirex Niigata in mid 2016 season. It was sad that his chances were limited with only six appearances.





The club acquired a Korean defender, Park Hyung-jin from V Varen Nagasaki. He came to Japan in 2013 and he played for J League division 1 champion, Sanfrecce Hiroshima for a few years. He is well-experienced to appear in the division 1.

Start-up for 2017 season

Recently, the club held a press conference for the upcoming season. Needless to say, the club's goal is to promote to the top league. The head coach, Nagasawa believes that the club's strength is powerful enough to reach the goal as well as the last year.



This is the nineth year in the division 2 since the club were qualified as J league club. It is obvious that the momentum toward the promotion has been increased in Okayama since the club played in the playoffs last term.



Before this season, the club have successfully acquired several talented players to reinforce their strengths ever though some main forces left the club.



Okayama also unveiled their uniforms for the new season, therefore it is felt that the new season is coming up soon.

J League announced the schedule for season opening period 2017

J League announced that the opening match of the division 2 takes place on February 26, Sunday. Fagiano meet a powerful club, Nagoya Grampus in Aichi, who made a deal with Okayama's ace attacker, Oshitani after 2016 season.



At 2nd sec on March 5, Nagasawa's men face Roasso Kumamoto at City Light Stadium. It is expected that lots of Okayama fans are coming to their home stadium for the remarkable match.

The club's transfer information #4 / 2016

Okayama made a deal with a young forward, Ishikawa. He is the product of the club's academy. In 2016 season, he has scored four goals in 19 appearances in Japan Football League. He is expected to play as a chance taker.


The club acquired a young defender, Shimoguchi from JFA Academy Fukushima Under18. He is expected to bring stability to the team's defense.


The deal with a young playmaker, Yajima has been expired. He is going back to the powerful club in the division 1, Urawa Reds. He will be missed by fans for sure.


A young defender, Nishibayashi leaves for Mitsubishi Motors Mizushima FC in Chugoku Regional League in 2017. He is the product of the club's academy.


A young goal keeper, Kiwada plays on a loan for Vanraure Hachinohe in Japan Football League next year. He is the product of Okayama's academy. He is expected to improve himself in the new team.

Fierce battle in All Regional Football Champion's League

The composition took place in November. The Champions from each regional league took part in it to compete for the promotion to the upper league, Japan Football League. The participants had to play on a tight schedule like three straight days.


FC Imabarai, who were elimated in this league last year, made a breakthrough, finishing at the top of the final league. The club successfully got promoted to JFL. Imabari are led by former national team's head coach, Takeshi OKADA. They aim for J league.


Another club, who got promoted to JFL this time, are Veertien MIE. MIE were established in 2012 as the club to aim for J League. During the composition, Mie made strenuous efforts, finishing in the second place of the final league.

Tight race in Japan Football League

The league was literally unpredictble. One of the title hopefuls, Azul Claro Numazu, J League 100 Year Plan holder, made a strong showing even though the foolball's legend, Masashi NAKAYAMA did not appear during the season. The club finished in the third place of the league and they were successfully qualified for J league, division 3. 


Other clubs aiming for J league such as Nara club and Vanraure Hachinohe were not able to achieve their goal. Hachinohe had a tough season, ending in 7th place last season. Last year, the construction of their new home stadium was completed so that they were highly expected to be qualified for the division 3.


Nara club struggled near the bottom last year. During this term, the team revealed the lack of ability to score goals even though Nara acquired some talented players incluing a veteran defender, Takuya Yamada. Their strength are needed to be more reinforced for the next season. 


Honda FC, owned by Honda Motor Co, won the championship of JFL. As of now, this powerful club have no intention to aim for J league so that the they play like a gatekeeper for the other clubs, aiming for J league.


Fagiano Okayama Next finished at the bottom of the league. They had a disappointing season in their last year. The team are expected to come back and join J league division 3 in the near future.

The club's transfer information #3 / 2016

Go-to player, Iwamasa announced that he would leave the club. He played for two years in Oakayama as a spiritual pillar. He was well-experienced and played a role as a text book. He would be missed by the club's fans.


An attacker, Akiyoshi also leaves the club. This year, he joined the team on a loan from Ventforet Kofu. During this season, he didn't have lots chances to appear on the pitch, but at Emperor's cup, he showed a good performance.


Next's defender, Itano will join Tokyo 23 FC next term. He is the product of the club. He is expected to improve his performance in the new team.


Another product of the club, Chibu also leaves for Verspah OITA in Japan Football League. He has played for Next for four years. This season, he has scored two goals in Japan Football League. 


A yound defender, Sasaki won't play for Next. Before this season, he made it at the tryout and made a deal with the club. Even though he had no appearance in the division 2, he made a strong showing in Japan Football League. Next year, he will play for MIO Biwako Shiga in the same league.
