Match Review 2nd Sec : VS Shimizu S-Pulse at City Light Stadium on February 26

This is the opening match of the club's home stadium this season. Two young players, Sano and Sakamoto were not listed for this sec because of their international duty. Kimura started the game for the first time this term.


After the kickoff, the home club struggled to have more ball possession. In the 5th minute, Yamada showed an excellent saving. In the 19th minute, Mauk almost found the net with his header, crossed by Kimura. Right after that, Tanaka's attempt was off target. In the 34th minute, Yanagi's header was over the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Yamada made another big saving. Four minutes later, Mauk's strike hit the crossbar. The first half ended in a scoreless tie.


Four minutes after the break, Kimura entered Shimizu's box and tried to open the score, but he was blocked by the opponent. Later, Kiyama's men struggled to take control of the game. In the 53rd minute, free kick was given to Jordy Buijs, however, he was not able to grasp the chance. In the 76th minute, Sakuragawa failed to hit the target with his attempt. Three minutes later, Semba came off the bench to change the game. In the 84th minute, Sakuragawa missed another chance. Afterwards, Okayama were not able to clinch the game.

Match Preview 2nd Sec : VS Shimizu S-Pulse at City Light Stadium on February 26

This is the opening match at City Light Stadium. The club face the relegated club again, Shimizu s-Pulse. This match can be difficult since the rival are one of the title favorites.

Former Fagiano goal keeper, Umeda played for Shimizu.One of their key players is Inui. Okayama are required to stop him creating chances.

2023 : Four clubs still in Chushikoku region

Four clubs in Chushikoku region failed to promote for the division 2. One of the promotion favorites, Ehime FC sign with some talents. An experienced mid-fielder, Kikuchi is one of these.

Last year, Kamatamare Sanuki were not able to compete for the promotion race. They are expected to have a difficult season as well this season.

Gainare Tottori were also not able to compete for the promotion race in 2022. The club make a deal with former Kamatamare striker, Shigematsu. He is expected to lead their forward players.  

FC Imabari had a good season last year, finishing in the 5th place. Former Fagiano side back, Shimoguchi plays on a loan as well as the last year. The young defender is expected to improve himself there.

Match Review 1st Sec : VS Jubilo Iwata at Yamaha Stadium on February 18

This is the opening match of this season. This sec, some of the new signings, Sakuragawa and Sakamoto started the game. These two young forwards are expected to smash the net. 


After the kickoff, the rival had more ball possession, however, as time went by, Okayama had more chances. In the 10th minute, Sakuragawa showed a header, seven minutes later, he tried to find the net with his header again. In the 20th minute, Sakamoto made an attempt. Right after that, he was not able to grasp another chance. In the 26th minute, Sakuragawa opened the score with his superb shot. In the 31st minute, Sakamoto added a second with an amazing strike. Later, the red-uniformed men kept a clean sheet. The first half ended in Okayama's lead.  


After the break, Iwata took the control of the game. In the 46th minute, another new signing, Yamada made an astonishing saving. In the 53rd minute, the red uniformed men took the first chance of the second half, Sano smash the net with his spirit. In the 62nd minute, Tabei came off the bench to secure their victory. In the 65th minute, Sakamoto's mid-range shot hit the cross bar. At the end of the match, the visitors conceded two goals, but they barely made obtained three points.

Match Preview 1st Sec : VS Jubilo Iwata at Yamaha Stadium on February 18

This is the opening match of this new season. The club face the relegated club, Jubilo Iwata. This match can be the test for Okayama to challenge for the promotion.

One of their key players is Endo. This playmaker is well experienced so that Okayama are required to mark him with an extra care.

2023:More competitive for J League division 3

In 2023, there are 20 clubs in J League division 3, therefore, it is now more difficult for J League 100 Year Plan holder in Japan Football League. In order to get the  ticket for the division 3, they must finish in top two of the league.

ReinMeer Aomori FC are one of the promotion favorites. They sign with talented players to enhance their strength.

Honda FC, owned by Honda Motor Co, failed to finish as the championship of JFL in 2022. As of now, this powerful club have no intention to aim for J league however the club can also be one of the title favorites.

Kochi United target to compete for the top two of the league. They aim for the promotion to the division 3 in the near future. Unfortunately,
FC Kagura Shimane decided not to join the league in 2023 due to their financial issues.

The club's transfer information #9 / 2022

The club signs with young forward, Sakamoto on a loan from the division 1 club, Gamba Osaka. He is the product of Gamba Osaka and he can be the key player in the club's attacking.


Australian international for FIFA World cup 2022, Mitchell Duke leave for the rival club in the division 2, Machida Zelvia. He scored eight goals in 36 appearances last year.

 

Malaysian young player, Hadi Fayyadh, who played for the division 3 club, Azul Claro Numazu on a loan last year, decided to get back to his country. unfortunately he couldn't shine in Japan.

The club's transfer information #8 / 2022

The club signs with young midfield player, Kawatani on a loan from Shimizu S-Pulse. He played for Iwaki FC in the division 3 last year.


The club announced the departure of Duke Carlos to the division 3, Sagamihara FC. In 2022, he shone in AC Nagano Parceiro.

The club's transfer information #7 / 2022

Young forward, Kawamoto plays for Thespakusatsu Gunma on a loan in 2023 season. He had 20 appearances in 2022 with two goals.

Kiwara Miyazaki signs with 2022 the division 3 champion, Iwaki FC on a loan from Okayama. He is expected to improve himself in his team in 2023.
 
The club signs with an experienced midfield player, Takahashi from Shonan Bellmare. He is expected to make an established presence in the mid-field.
