This is the opening match of the new season. Some new signings were listed in the starting line-up. Gleyson was one of these. He was expected to score goals. Another new signing, Saito was on the bench.


Three minutes after the kickoff, Kimura's attempt was blocked by the opponent. Later, Sueyoshi entered Tochigi's box and made a cross, but it was blocked by Tochigi again. In the 10th minute, Abe tried to open the score. In the 28th minute, Iwabuchi missed to hit the target. In the 30th minute, Kimura almost found the net. Right after that, his another attempt was off target. In the 36th minute, he smash the net with his stunning opening goal. In the 42th minute, Sueyoshi failed to add a second.


Right after the break, Iwabuchi's strike hit the cross bar. In the 54th minute, Gleyson add a second, which was his first goal in Japan. In the 61st minute, Suzuki's attempt was off target. Two minutes later, Gleyson almost found the net. In the 75th minute, Motoyama and Saito came in. In the 81st minute, German goal keeper, Brodersen showed a superb saving. During the added time, Yanagi made a clincher so that the club brought a joy to their home stadium.
